"Night, Wills."
"Night, Belle."Snowbelle closed the door, dragged herself across her room and climbed onto her bed. She dragged the blanket over herself and buried her face in some pillows. Fatigue overcame her and she fell asleep almost instantly.
Maybe she could finally get a dream that made more sense this time, or just nothing at all. Sleep, and also some actual rest for the mind. But that wouldn't make too much sense for the Glaceon.
After all, something was definitely up. Snowbelle knew that someone was definitely interfering with something that affected her, but all she had to do was to pinpoint who and what exactly. It was the hardest part out of everything, so Snowbelle was on the verge of giving up."C'mon!"
Belle trembled as she stepped back from Mother's steps, but it wasn't enough distance before she felt her back hit the cold wall behind her.
"I should've killed you before you were even bor-"
Suddenly, the Eevee felt herself lunge towards Mother and knock her over. Mother's attack fired right after she fell and was aimed straight at Belle, and the Eevee closed her eyes to brace for impact.
"BELLE!" Willow screamed.
Belle opened her eyes to see her paws stuck out to where the attack came from, and Mother passed out.
"What happened!?" the Eevee stared at her paws.
"You-...redirected her attack! You sent it back and it went straight into her face! She tried killing you! She's dead!"
Belle felt her entire body freeze right at that moment.
She tried killing you! She's dead!
She's dead! And you killed her!
"This wasn't supposed...to happen. None of this was."
Willow was also unable to speak, as she still sniffled and choked every time she tried to say something to respond.
"I hated her, but I never wanted to kill her. Not like this. I wanted to watch her die on the day she's meant to, just like what she said to me at the beginning."
Willow gazed elsewhere, and that angered Belle.
"HEY, ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!?" Belle screamed. "I...WHAT DO I DO NOW!? WILLOW!? WHAT DO I DO!? TELL ME! PLEASE!"
The younger Eevee sniffled and shook her head.
"I...don't-"
"LORD, BRING MY MOTHER BACK!" Belle wailed, her throat burning from all of her screaming. "PLEASE! WAKE HER UP! BRING MY MOTHER BACK!"
It was no use. A dead Mon was a dead Mon.
"Don't...please...don't...hurt...hurt...me...!" Willow barely made out words.
Belle's anger instantly reappeared again.
"DON'T HURT YOU!? I JUST KILLED MY MOM! WHY WOULD I-...no...I have to."
Willow's eyes widened. "Wha...what...!?"
"Wills, please forgive me for this."
Before the Eevee could react, she was pinned to the ground as Belle charged up a Swift. Willow's voice was suddenly cleared up and she stopped crying.
"Don't do this, Sis, please!" she begged.
"I..." Belle hesitated and cancelled her Swift. "You're right, Sis. You shouldn't die just because you watched me mur-"
Suddenly, Willow lunged at Belle and knocked her over before shooting a Swift at her without much precise aiming.
"You-"
Willow punched at Belle's stomach with tears constantly rolling down both of their faces.
"Willow-" Belle choked before getting a heavy blow. "Sto-...stop-"
She retched and gasped for air, desperately trying to move away from Willow.
"Just-call the-police and have-them-arrest-me-me..." Belle was barely able to get those words out of her mouth. "If-you-you-you're-scared-"
"I'm not scared." Willow stopped and let Belle breathe normally again. "I won't rat you out and have them take you."
Belle wiped her tears. "Then why were you punching m-"
"I'm avenging Mom."
"What?"
"You killed her, I'll kill you and get away."
"WHAT!?"
"You weren't that special to me anyways. Just another sibling, except you never got anything that you wanted and I did instead."
Belle was dumbfounded.
"Tell me, Belle, did you really think I'd stay with you? Well, technically, you broke our promise first. The moment you killed Mom."
"I-I was protecting myself!" Belle trembled with anger. "I didn't want to kill her! I just said it!"
"You don't mean any of that. You wanted her dead." Willow rolled her eyes and said sarcastically.
"Are you deaf?"
"I can go over and just report you right now." Willow threatened with a scoff.
"You're being unreasonable."
"Whatever, you murdered her, you deserve it. Go rot."
You deserve it. Go rot.Snowbelle gasped and sat up from waking up. "Wills..."
Another murder dream?
The Glaceon reached for a light on the side and turned it on. She then grabbed a novel and started reading to calm herself down. Surprisingly, reading a murder mystery that involves solving a spree had worked, and she decided to not sleep.
"Tell me, what would you do if you were able to confirm her death?" Snowbelle began muttering the dialogue out loud. "I'd go to her grave and bring her a bouquet of her favorite flowers."
"But you hated her. Uh-huh, I do hate her, but I believe that she deserves at least some peace. And so do I. All of us deserve peace when we've reached the end."
Snowbelle stared at the page blankly as the sentences lined up with her dream and also her thoughts that she had kept and locked away in the back of her mind.
"Hey Sis, what would you do if you found out that Mom died?"
Willow's voice echoed quietly, making Snowbelle feel like she was right next to her, making small talk about the past. Snowbelle stayed silent and thought for an answer. A reply that was true to herself.
"I wouldn't mourn but I would pay a visit to her grave and tell her everything that I've always wanted to. Without any risks of being hurt or any gifts. Just a visit to let her know that she failed as a mother." Snowbelle answered carefully, although something felt slightly off.
"No, you won't. If anything, you'd want to kill her. Over and over again."
"What? No! I mean, I don't forgive her, and I don't see myself ever going to, but-"
"You think you're only not giving her forgiveness because of the trauma she inflicted on you. Wounds that won't heal. Wounds that won't disappear. Wounds that will hurt until you die. You can't do anything about the damage she's caused."
"Uh-huh."
"You're wrong in this case. You don't forgive her for many reasons. Her hurting you is the one with the most influence though."
"So what's the other reasons that I'm hiding from myself?"
"First, go through your awareness of reality with me."
"What?"
"What do you remember as reality? The truth? After all of these dreams, these visions may be mixing up your vision."
"I'm pretty sure-"
"Not pretty sure, the one that you feel is certain and correct to you."
"Uh...I'm pretty sure it was when Mother tried attacking me and it worked but then Willow managed to get herself in front of me then ended up in the hospital while Mother ran away because she was too scared to get caught."
"That could be right, that could be wrong."
"What? I thought you just asked me which one was right-"
"No, I was merely asking what you remember as reality. Regarding the true truth, you'll need to ask Willow without triggering her."
"That's impossible!"
"Uh-huh. But either way, I'm just a part of you speaking to you. I can't do anything."
"Yeah."
"Mhm."
Snowbelle fell head-first straight onto her open book and fell asleep again. The light flickered for a little but didn't die out completely. The bookmark dropped from her loose grip and hit the floor quietly.
