Carmin had once vowed that she'd save the world.
That's what she'd told her father over 10 years ago at least, when she was only 7 years old. "I'll be a superhero like Wonder Women and I'm gonna save the world!"
She'd then jumped off the bed thinking she could fly which lead to a couple of stitches. But that's beside the point.
Carmin knew one day she'd save the world. And that day had come. She'd fought alongside her friends and boyfriend, she'd saved the world from Silvers fucked up version of Cobra Kai.
But now she had no reason to fight.
She'd jumped back into karate just to beat Silver. And she'd done that. She did that. So what's the point of fighting a battle that wasn't her own.
There was no longer a world that needed to be saved as she'd already saved it.
There was no one in any danger so what's the point of swinging another fist.
There was no longer a point to start another fight.
Karate was supposed to be for fun. It wasn't anymore. It hasn't been since Aisha Robinson had left. Since Carmin had been thrown over a railing and landed splat next to her best friend.
So for once. This superhero was going to take a break from saving the world because while she was busy saving the world, she forgot to save herself. And she was just starting to keep her head above water.
This superhero was going to save herself.

At least, that's what she thought she was gonna do. But if there's anything wrong with Carmin Kim's once perfect life, it was that it never stopped raining.
