Things were changing. Life was good. As the summer days continued to pass on by, Carmin was happy to be alive. And she hadn't been so happy in a while, she had everything she could possibly need. In the form of a family, friends and boyfriend.
Never in her life did she imagine herself in a stable relationship, one where she loved the other person just as much as they loved her. She was used to being abandoned, tossed aside like she was a ragdoll but Robby held onto her.
He never strayed to far from her.
Carmin was also glad that she and Miguel had returned to how they were before. Especially since he and Sam were no longer together, so they could all hang out without a fight breaking out. It was like a new wave of life, a do over.
The young girl was finally starting to move on from the traumas of her past and forgive herself for the mistakes she'd made. She was happy to be able to put herself first and not let anything stump her.
There was one minor problem.
Carmin Kim was not going back to karate.
"Come on, you don't miss it even a little?" Miguel questioned as the duo sat in his living room, both of their hands filled with a bowl of ice cream. "No, I don't."
Miguel swung his face in front of hers, "Not even a little?" Carmin narrowed her eyes at him, "I really, really don't." He cupped her face in his hands, sharing a look with Robby, "I don't believe you."
Carmin smacked Miguel's hands, "I don't care what you believe, either of you." She pointed between them, now that Miguel and Robby were making amends with each other. They often teamed up when they felt something was off with Carmin. "I'm at peace. Don't need to fight anyone, don't need to worry about anything."
"Oh come on, but we need you! If we're going to win this battle against Silver, we need you to kick everyone's ass." Miguel whined falling back on her couch, Carmin rolled her eyes, "If Silver tries to fight you, I'll kick his ass, feel better?"
Miguel huffed, "I guess." She shook her head, turning to Robby, who was staring at her. "What?" She narrowed her eyes at him, he raised his hands in the air, "Nothing."
Carmin huffed when the front door opened, in came Tod and Faith, "Look who I found outside." Tod laughed, motioning to a grinning Faith, "I brought all the necessities." She held up two bags, both of which were filled with junk food, "Why are they here?!"
Faith pointed between the two boys, who looked at her offended, "Happy to see you too, Faith." Robby shot the girl a look, Faith glared at him, "Sorry, but I only brought 'The Notebook', 'Clueless', 'Legally Blonde' and 'The Princess Diaries." Faith named off the movies she'd brought over to watch, "Jokes on you, I love Legally Blonde."
