(This chapter is so ass, I apologize, next one will be better. I didn't know what to do this episode but we love a girl who can handle herself. Feel free to skip or ignore this chapter)

Some days, when things were exceptionally hard for Carmin, she would think back to when she was young. When her father was still alive, when she didn't have a reputation. Those days were good days.

And some days, she wished she could go back to that time. When her father would decorate for every holiday season, the house was full of cheer.

Carmin especially loved Christmas, not just for the gifts, which she loved the gifts, but because her father would dance around singing Christmas songs. Forcing Carmin to dance with him all around the house.

The year he got sick, the holidays weren't nearly the same. He couldn't quite sing like he used too. Or dance around like he loved to do. And so Carmin would sing, dance around his bed while he watched her with a smile.

Now, she didn't sing, didn't dance and never put up a tree, or went trick or treating, or watched the fireworks. She never wanted to celebrate because she didn't have anyone to celebrate with.

Even Aisha, usually had family to go out with, who would fly her around the world while Carmin danced around her home like a ghost.

It was like she was some horror story that the neighborhood would warn their kids about. Like she was some lonely wife waiting for the return of her husband who was lost at sea. But in reality, she was a lonely teen, stuck in the past.

And the past year had been no different. But at least now she had friends who made her want to stay.

"Okay, what about Friday?" Miguel asked Tory as they stretched for the upcoming lesson. Miguel has finally taken Carmin's advice and started to see Tory, which Carmin was pretty excited about.

"Can't. Working at the roller rink." Tory spoke softly while she jabbed the bottom of Carmin's foot, the girl fell over with a shocked face. "Great, we can turn it into a date."

"Yeah, a double candle lit dinner at the snack bar?" Tory teased the boy, who smiled back at her, "There is nothing more romantics than free hot dogs and chicken nugs. We all in?"

"All? I am not third wheeling, okay?" Carmin pointed betwen the pair, Miguel sheugged, "Well, you won't be third wheeling if you get yourself a date." Carmin let out an airy laugh before seeing their serious faces, "No, no way. I told you guys, no more dating for me."

The couple looked at each other before nodding their heads, "Hey Caden!" Carmin watched Miguel get up to speak to a guy that Carmin had never seen before. "Who the hell is that?" Tory smirked at her friend, "He's new."
