One of Carmin's biggest fears was the people she loves leaving her behind and forgetting about her.
It was a valid fear, seeing as it seemed to happen to her more than once in her lifetime. People coming and going as they pleased, not caring about how it left her feeling when they were gone.
She'd always been scared of being forgotten, of being alone, of having to stand up on her own two feet. And she'd been lucky enough to have people beside her, always willing to hold her up.
Carmin had lost a lot in the days few years, but her only constant, only true constant was her love of Tory. Tory Nichols had her flaws, and had made some disastrous mistakes. Ones that had she done on anyone else, other than Carmin, then she'd likely be behind bars by then.
Despite those flaws, Carmin Kim never ever turned her back on Tory Nichols. They'd always been on the same side of the war, even when they weren't. They had each other's backs.
There had always been people that Carmin thought would never turn their backs on her, but they all had. They all left.
But ever since Tory came into Carmin's life, she'd never left it. Not for long at least.
So of course, as they approached their unwarranted doom, they walked together. Side by side, hands deep in their jacket pockets as they approached their friends or former friends.
"Tory? Carmin?" Hawk asked in confusion while Demetri, Robby and Miguel all turned to the girls in confusion. Seeing as Carmin hadn't answered her phone since the fight had broken out and Tory had them all blocked.
"It's us, don't cream your pants." Carmin joked slightly, despite the fight on its way, though they didn't know that yet.
"What's ugh? What's up, hi." Miguel greeted the two girls as Robby straightened up, eyes full of concern as he looked between his girl and Tory. His eyes settled on the bandage around Tory's arm, "What happened to your hand?" Miguel looked at Carmin's hands before realizing he'd meant Tory.
"Ugh training accident, I'm okay." Tory responded uneasily, getting a soft nudge from Carmin, "We think we have a way to prove Silver assaulted Stingray." Sam explained as she sent a slight smile over to the two girls who had in fact shown up to the meeting.
"Look, I know Tory and I have to explain some things but.. short end of it, we fucked up trying to not cause a new problem. Our bad, get over it." Tory nudged Carmin as a slight laugh escaped her own lips, "Yeah, look, if the assault happened at the old dojo then maybe it was after Silver had installed her new security cameras."
