Chapter 26

At this point, it seemed like everyone had their hands full. Zhan was dealing with Ziyi's unpredictable temper, and Yibo was in over his head, collecting evidence from everywhere.

As he was doing this, he realized that Ziyi's brazen behavior could actually be used to their advantage. She was appearing on almost every channel talking about how reckless and negligent Zhan's hospital was. She invited all media outlets to come stand outside the hospital and report about even the smallest petty things just to attack the hospital's reputation. So there were reporters at every corner searching for a big scope.

Yibo already had tones of evidence against Ziyi, and he came up with a great idea. He was going to use the same media outlet to bring Ziyi's crimes to light. He wouldn't need to pay anyone to publish everything. He would just hand everything to all the media personnel standing outside the hospital.

His dad was also doing much better and could remember more incidences of bribery between Ziyi and other famous individuals. Ziyi was doing shady businesses in front of Mr Wang thinking he was too out of it to notice.

Yibo put together the interviews Yubin had with the security officer from the sperms donation clinic and  Ziyi's uncle. The list of names that everyone put together with supporting proof of those individuals' involvement with Ziyi's coverups. The list of people that were missing because they refused to help Ziyi or saw something they shouldn't and most importantly the two missing names, were the truck driver involved in Yibo's Mom's death and the Dr who seemed to be deeply connected to everything.

When Yibo felt he was ready to go to war with Ziyi, he called Zhan at the hospital.

"Hi."

"Hi, it's me."

"I know, why are you calling me at such a crucial time.?"

"Everything is ready now. We can move ahead with the first part of exposing Ziyi."

"You said we? Care to explain further what the plan is?"

Yibo quickly filled Zhan in on everything he planned to do. He wasn't ready to show himself to Ziyi just yet, so he needed Zhan to pass the message to Yubin. He needed Yubin to come pick up everything and hand different parts of their evidence to different media outlets so that if one is blocked another one can pickup the story and keep it moving, almost like how runners run in relay races. It will be a build-up of information.

Yibo spent hours packaging information in different folders with numbers and how long to wait before reporting. He went as far as to give each media publication ways to protect themselves from being sued for defamation of character. This would make it easy for them to take an interest in the story and run with it.

"You are lucky Yubin hasn't left the hospital yet. We both have been stuck here for 8 days. I am fed up and in need of a nice long bath. I must say, when I started this, I didn't know how manipulative Ziyi was. She has gotten so many people to turn against me and question my integrity. I am ready for this to end. Only 8 days, and I have had enough, I can only imagine how you feel after living with her for so long."

"Don't worry, I took a break from her when I died...Anyway, just bear with it a bit longer. I hope that after everything comes out, your reputation will be restored."

"I hope so. The funny thing is that the people who are still in my corner are the patients who know me the least, and the nurses are all awkward around me."

"Well, if I can speak from the patients perspective, you really are a great doctor, and I have benefited firsthand from your handy work. So the patients know which side their bread is buttered."

They both shared a laugh together. It does make sense why the patients aren't swayed by all the slander about Zhan. They were healed by the same man who is in question, and they knew their healing wasn't fake.
