Hades X Maleficent headcanons💜💙

Fair ground

"So, what do you wanna do first darling?" Hades asked, his arm around his girlfriend's waist.

"Idk. It's my first time being at one of these fairs. So I'm not entirely sure what to do." Maleficent answered.

"Well," he looked around at all the games and rides, "wanna go on the haunted roller coaster?"

"The god of the dead asking to go on something haunted? Little on the nose don't you think?" She teased nudging his side a bit.

"Maybe, but it's still fun." He answered. "So you want to?"

"Sure."

Hades and Maleficent walked over to the "haunted" roller coaster. It didn't look that haunted to Maleficent, more tacky than anything else. She looked at some of the people in line, a few actually looked scared as they got closer to the front of the ride; she wasn't exactly sure why they were scared of fake ghosts and bats. Sure, it was loud, but not scary.

"Are people actually afraid of this?" She asked Hades, who frankly just looked bored.

"Yep."

"Why?"

"Their minds get the better of them or they're cowards." He answered.

"Or both?"

"Yeah, or both."

Maleficent kept looking at the people; a girl about her age looked absolutely terrified, while a 4 or 5 year old was bouncing with excitement. "People are weird."

"I know, Lotus flower."

15 minutes passed and Maleficent and Hades got on the ride. It wasn't very impressive to people like them. Hades looked bored the whole time, just looking at all the fake decorations and strobe lights. Maleficent wasn't paying much attention; she unfortunately learned the hard way how loud some of these rides would be (if y'all have been on these rides, you know the pain) and add that with how good fairys hearing is, it's not a great combination. She had her ears covered the whole time and even that didn't help with all the unnecessary noise. Hades noticed her discomfort and held her close, "you okay?" He asked. Maleficent shock her head, still covering her ears, "too loud..." She mumbles.

Hades quickly got her off the ride once it stopped, walking her over to a quieter part of the fair. Once they were in a quieter place, hades knelt in front of Maleficent, moving her hands slightly away from her ears. "Better?" He asked.

"Yes.." she mumbled. "Yeah I'm..I'm okay now."

"I didn't know you had that sensitive hearing."

"It's a fae thing." She replied, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Hades nodded understanding. "You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah...yeah I think so. Sorry I just didn't expect it to be so loud."

"If it's too loud for you we can go." He offered.

"No, I'm okay."

"Alright." He stood up and held his hand out. "Ready to head back in?"

"Yeah." She took his hand and stood up with him, heading back into the fair. The couple decided to stay away from the rides and just hang out play games or making fun of the other kids. They ended up at one of the shooter games where Gaston was trying, and failing, to impress the girls with his lack there of skill. For a guy who brags about his hunting skills, he sure was a bad shot. Gaston managed to miss every single shot, not even getting close to any of the targets.

"Urg!" He groaned, throwing the gun down in frustration, "this game is rigged!!"

"It's not rigged," Maleficent stated, "you're just a bad shot."
