Emi's pov

After our night at the hot springs, Inuyasha had given Kagome the silent treatment. Albeit, Inuyasha accidentally saw her and I naked, Kagome's form of punishment was enough to send a message. The only reason I didn't do anything is because Kagome pretty much hurt him enough, besides a boulder to the head should be punishment enough and Inuyasha wasn't doing it on purpose. He wasn't spying on either one of us, he only ran over to make sure Kagome was alright. "How long do you intend to stay mad? You saw Emi and I naked, so we're even." Kagome said, he was riding on the back of the bike while I sat in the basket with Shippo. It's a wonder how I fit in there so well, I'm not as small as Shippo. Inuyasha blushed red and looked away from Kagome and I, "I didn't. And I wasn't looking at Emi either." He said, I found it cute that Inuyasha was blushing like that. It could only mean that he found Kagome attractive and didn't want to admit it, besides the situation itself was awkward. "He did, didn't he?" Kagome asked Shippo, "I can't really say..." Shippo said, looking up at Kagome and I. "Well, he didn't see Emi, did he?" She asked, "I doubt he saw anything. If he did then you already got him for it when you hit him on the head with that boulder." I said, looking up at Inuyasha who was still looking away.

As Kagome kept peddling, we struck up different conversations. One that ended up on the topic of a certain young man that is always trying to flirt with me at school. "You haven't even given the poor guy a chance to go out with you. How are you going to know if he likes you for you?" Kagome asked, "Sounds like Kagome has a point." Inuyasha said, "So there's a guy who like you? What's he like?" Shippo asked, looking up at me. I blushed thinking about the gift he gave me and looked away. Just as Inuyasha was about to say something, my ears twitched and I heard something rolling. "Huh?" A weird looking boulder comes rolling towards us, making me hold Shippo tightly.

"What is that?!" I shouted.

"I've come for you..." He said, talking to Kagome. I growled defensively, "I think not!" The tanuki-boulder comes crashing into us as Kagome couldn't avoid him. Kagome fell forward, while Shippo and I fell down the cliff after being thrown from the basket. I shielded Shippo with my body, holding him tightly so that he didn't go flying elsewhere while we were falling. I grabbed onto the edge of the cliff with my free arm, hanging on for dear life as Shippo clung to me. "Inuyasha! Emi!!!" Kagome called, I struggled to keep holding us up and found the strength to pull myself and Shippo up but Inuyasha was nowhere to be seen. As I finally got onto the edge, I sat on my knees and sighed in relief as Shippo shook. My heart was pounding in my ears but I didn't focus on the near death experience we both just had, I was more so focused on trying calm Shippo down and figure out what attacked us. I needed to make sure that Kagome was okay, she was targeted and it pissed me off that I couldn't stop the thing.

"Everything's alright, Shippo. We're safe now." I patted his back softly, he clung to me and I don't think he was planning on letting me go any time soon. "T-T-thanks." He stammered, "No problem." I heard Kagome gasp and looked up to find a young man behind Kagome on her bike. Shippo looked up and panicked, pointing to the guy as he called out to Kagome. "Kagome, look out!" Before I had the chance to get to my feet, the young man pulled her onto his lap and rides off.

First of all, who the hell was that guy and how the hell did he figure out how a bike works? There are no bikes that have been invented yet in this time period. I let out a frustrated growl and quickly got to my feet, I pulled Shippo off of my shirt as he was clinging tightly to me still. "Shippo, stay here and find Inuyasha!!" I took off running after the bike, hoping to catch up to him. I followed Kagome's scent and it wasn't long before I found the guy who took her, I caught onto bits and pieces of their conversation. That's when I noticed his robes were a darkish blue color with fingers of purple, his hair was long enough that he had a small ponytail. And for some reason, his scent wasn't harsh or evil. "You have nothing to fear. I am a Buddhist priest... no one suspicious. When I searched for the Sacred Jewel fragment, you were attached to it, you see." He said, "You've got that backwards, mister." Kagome said, out of the corner of my eye I saw Inuyasha come from underneath the boulder but I wasn't paying attention.

"Found him!!" Shippo shouted.

"Kagome!!" I shouted, she looked back at me and called out my name as I tried to get closer to the bike. "Hey, give me my sister back you weirdo!!" I shouted after the young man, but he didn't listen nor did he stop which further irritated me. "Kagome! Emi!! What's going on? That guy...!" He pushed the tanuki aside, who crashes onto the ground. "Get out of my way!" He then unsheathes Tetsuiga which meant he was serious, "Out of my way I say!" The tanuki boulder is frightened and transforms back to normal.

"H-he's going to kill me!"

The young man suddenly stops peddling, "Tsk..." I watched as he removes a chain of beads around his right hand, causing me to slow down as I had no clue what he was about to do.

"What a vicious fiend!"

"What's the matter with you?" Inuyasha snapped, he had caught up to me in no time. A strong gust of wind suddenly blows towards the two of us from his hand, when I looked at his palm that's when I noticed a large hole in it which just have been where the wind was coming from. Tetsuiga is sucked out of Inuyasha's hand and strikes a rock, making me look back for a brief moment. The next thing I know, Inuyasha and I are sucked upwards into the air and the two of us crash into a rock wall. I hit the wall pretty hard, knocking the wind out me as I hit the ground with a loud resounding thud. I let out a groan as Inuyasha hit the ground, "Emi, are you alright?" He asked, "Just peachy." I groaned, rolling onto my side. "Inuyasha! Emi!!" Kagome pushed against the guy and managed to get off the bike, running over to us.

"Are you two all right?"

"Just peachy." I gave Kagome a thumbs up, making her sigh as she realized that I was being sarcastic.

A short while later, Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippo and I were sitting near a path. With Kagome's bike stolen we now had to walk but first we needed to find that guy. Whoever he was, I didn't get a good look at him either. "Damn... Who was that guy, anyway?" Inuyasha asked, looking confused. "He said he was a Buddhist priest, but..." Kagome trailed off, "He held his hand out and the two of us went flying. What's up with that?" I crossed my arms, "And how the hell did he know how to ride the bike when bikes haven't been invented yet? That's so weird! Like what is up with that? Is he just that smart?" I quipped, "I honestly don't know." Inuyasha answered before he started thinking to himself, suddenly Kagome gasped loudly startling all three of us.

"Oh no!"

"Huh?" Inuyasha looked at Kagome.

"He stole my bike! The nerve!"

"Forget the bike! You were being kidnapped! I look away for one second, and..." Inuyasha scolded, folding his arms. "Yeah, Inuyasha's right. Who knows what that man could have done to you? Some of the men in this time period are worse than the ones we have back home. He could have killed you or.." I trailed off, feeling anger build as I thought about the possibilities. "Emi.. Inuyasha...I'm sorry." Kagome apologized, Inuyasha suddenly blushed red and looked away from her defensively. "It wasn't you I was worried about. It was your Sacred Jewel fragment..." He said, I shook my head and chuckled to myself because he was denying it. Kagome clasped her hands and looks at Inuyasha and I with pleading eyes, "Uh oh... Whenever you make that face, you did something. Kagome... Where's the jewel fragment?" I asked, making Inuyasha look between Kagome and I. "Well... It seems he stole my Jewel fragment, too." She said.

"What?!" Inuyasha and I shouted in unison.

"Oh this is just great." I muttered, sighing heavily as I shook my head.
