Chapter 9: Saving Inuyasha!! Enter, the sword Tetsuiga

Emi's pov

I stayed in my spot unsure of what do in this situation, I couldn't just scream out that the woman he was embracing was not his mother. I didn't understand why that demon was impersonating someone so close to Inuyasha, unless.. Unless his brother put her up to this. Damn that handsome demon. I looked around to see if there was a closer way to get to I Inuyasha, I needed to snap him out of his trance. After I found a nearby tree I could get to, I looked back at Kagome. "Kagome, I'm going to get closer to the two of them.. I'll be right back." She only blinked in response, so I took that as a yes and took off. I rushed out into the opening, being careful enough not to be spotted by that imposter. Since I was closer to them, I could hear their conversation. "Inuyasha... I must return to the Netherworld." She said in a soft voice, but I had no clue what she was talking about. "Oh... Must you go?" The imposter holds up a flower in her hand and lets it drop in the water, the petals fall apart creating a ripple effect in the water. Inuyasha looks at the surface of the water, seeing a memory. I couldn't tell what he was seeing, but the woman suddenly embraces Inuyasha from behind. I leaned back into the tree, unsure of what to do. I felt that I should do something to help him, but at the same time I didn't want to ruin this for him. "Good boy.. Let me hold you tight." Inuyasha turns around and I noticed the weird dreamy look in his eyes, as they hugged face to face. My ears flattened slightly, as I turned to figure out what that look in his eyes meant. Out the corner of my eye, I saw her hands started to sink into Inuyasha and he lost consciousness. "No.. Inuyasha.. Dammit, what do I do? Inuyasha, you have to snap out of it." Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Kagome move slightly. As I went to get out of the tree, I caught onto a familiar smell. I quickly jumped out of the tree, staying behind it before I made a break for Kagome. "Emi!!" Kagome threw her arms around me, as I hugged her back. "How are you able to move so freely?" She asked, pulling back to see my face. "It's because Emi is not fully human, much like Master Inuyasha. They both are half demons." I slapped my neck, watching as Myoga floated down onto my hand.

"What are they after, Myoga? Why is Sesshomaru doing all of this to Inuyasha?" I looked down at Myoga, "Master Sesshomaru is the one looking for their father's tomb." Myoga explained, "What's in that tomb for him to be doing this to his own flesh and blood?" My eyes shifted over to the water, seeing that small green imp that was with Sesshomaru rowing a boat over to Inuyasha and the imposter. I looked back over at the imposter, becoming horrified as I watched Inuyasha's face and body begin to sink into the woman's body.

"My boy... My dear son."

Jaken, that small green demon that was with Sesshomaru, quickly jumps out of the boat he was just in. "Hey you!!" I shifted quietly, wondering if he saw me but I saw that his eyes were still on the woman. "Un-Mother!" He hits her in the face with his staff, which causes some of her skin to come off which only sent chills down my spine. "What's the use of sucking the breath out of him?" Jaken questioned, "What you do to him later is no concern to us! But first, you must get the information out of him! The location of the tomb of Inuyasha and Lord Sesshomaru's father!" He whined, making me cringe.

"That Jaken fellow is Sesshomaru's henchmen?" Kagome asked, peeking out from behind the boulder.

"Yeah." I nodded, "The human head staff... You must watch out for that." Myoga warned, "'Kay." Kagome nodded, "I bet if I got the chance to, I could get that damn staff away from him. This really is all that handsome Sesshomaru's fault." I said, making Kagome look at me. When she didn't say anything to me, I slowly turned my head to look at her seeing that she was looking at me like I was crazy.

"What?"

"You really have to compliment the demon trying to kill his own flesh and blood?"

"Kagome, I can't help it. The man is very handsome and he has a deep voice. And you know I have a weakness for guys with deep voices." I shrugged, making her huff. "Down, girl!" I let out a yelp as I hit the ground, it was unexpected response from her.
