Chapter 44: Sesshomaru joins forces with Naraku (2)

Emi's pov

I worried for Inuyasha's sake during this fight, I don't think it's ever easy to fight a sibling in life or death natches. I could never fight Kagome like the way those two fight, I just hope that never actually happens. Sesshomaru lets go of Inuyasha and leapt in the air, he takes out his poison whip and lashed it at Inuyasha, knocking Tetsusaiga out of his hands. Tetsusaiga spun in the air and lands near Sesshomaru, reverting back to its rusty state. This made all five of us nervous, "Damn!" Inuyasha cursed, Sesshomaru picks up Tetsusaiga with his left hand. I stared in shock as he wasn't able to do that before, that sword actually protected itself against full demons. "What?!" Inuyasha looked just as shocked as we did, "Sesshomaru has a hold of the Tetsusaiga!" Kagome exclaimed, "This cannot be good... If he can use the Tetsusaiga we are out of luck." I said, Sesshomaru swings Tetsusaiga and sends an energy torrent at Inuyasha, causing the ground to explode. "We're in deep shit.." I cursed, making Kagome slap my arm. "What?" I winced, rubbing the spot where she hit me. "Language, we have a kid around." She stated, referring to Shippo. I just waved it off dismissively and looked back at the fight, my concern for Inuyasha now going through the roof.

"I shall show you, Inuyasha... The Tetsusaiga's true power. Jaken!" Sesshomaru called for that stupid green imp, "Yes, my lord! I shall summon all the mountain demons!" Jaken stands on the giant demon's shoulder and points it to a forest, the demon turns towards it.

"Come forth!" He commanded.

The giant demon swings his fist on a mountain, the ground rumbled and all of us stare in absolute horror as a glow appeared where the demon hit. Suddenly hundreds of demons fly out and cover the sky with their sheer numbers, "Oh my god.." Kagome muttered, "Shit... We're in for it now." I said, Kagome slapped my arm again and I just glared at her. "Watch me well, Inuyasha. In one stroke... The power to slay a hundred demons in one stroke..." Sesshomaru swings Tetsusaiga which emits three waves. The waves rush towards the demons and disintegrated the demons completely, the glow of the waves enveloping the entire area. I couldn't believe that this full fledged demon could use Tetsusaiga, there was just no way. Something is going on, I can't believe that he can just suddenly use Tetsusaiga. He wasn't able to the first time he came looking for that sword, the sword rejected him. "Wait a minute... Kagome, didn't Sesshomaru lose his arm during their first fight for the sword back at the place it was being kept?" I asked, "Yes, why?" Kagome looked confused for a moment, "Because Sesshomaru has a left arm.. And that's the arm Inuyasha cut off when they were fighting." I explained, Kagome looked at Sesshmaru in shock.

"Oh no..." She muttered.

"What are you guys talking about?" Shippo and Miroku looked confused, "When we first met Sesshomaru, he had tricked Inuyasha into thinking that he had his mother's soul. Sesshomaru came looking for Tetsusaiga as he wanted it for himself, so he used his own awful ways to trick Inuyasha. We eventually learned of where the sword was being kept and headed there to stop Sesshomaru from getting Tetsusaiga. That's when we learned that full fledged demons and possibly half demons can't use that sword. According to what Myoga said, Inuyasha's father made that sword to protect humans because Inuyasha's mother was human. He wanted that sword to be used to protect humans which is why Inuyasha can wield it. During the fight for the sword, Inuyasha managed to use Tetsusaiga for the first time and cut off Sesshomaru's arm." I explained, "Then why is it that he has an arm now?" Miroku asked, "I don't know."

"W-what?!"

The ground which Sesshomaru sent the waves is smoldering, leaving us in pure shock. "The mountain..." Shippo exclaimed,
"Not only the demons, he destroyed the mountain!" Miroku said, "Now that is the true power of the Tetsusaiga, the supreme sword forged from our father's fang! Unfortunately, it does not have the power to choose his owner! Do you realize now that a half-demon like you can never master it?" Sesshomaru stated, I gritted my teeth as I tried to figure out how we were going to get that sword away from him.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome suddenly takes off, running towards Inuyasha making me panic. "Hold it, Kagome!" Miroku's shout stopped Kagome in her tracks, "I'll go! Shippo, stay behind, too!" He offered, standing up straight. I knew that he wasn't going to last long against Sesshomaru, none of us can. "Then...your right hand...!" Kagome trailed off, "Miroku, it's too dangerous. I'll go." I stopped him, but he shook his head.

"Become a victim of the Tetsusaiga... That's a fitting end for you."

Miroku suddenly appears in front of Inuyasha and cuts him off, "I can't stay quiet any longer." Inuyasha tilts his head out and stares at Miroku, Kagome and I stand behind him.

"Enough of this silly sibling rivalry." Miroku snapped.

"Hey!"

Inuyasha stepped forward and shoved Miroku out of the way, "Stay back, Miroku!" He snapped, Miroku steps forward and shoves Inuyasha back. "You can't handle this alone!" Miroku had a point, with Sesshomaru now having the Tetsusaiga in his possession, it was going to to take a miracle to stop him. Inuyasha clenched his fists angrily, he definitely didn't appreciate Miroku butting into a fight between him and his brother. "Shaddup! Get behind me!" Inuyasha shouted, "Don't be so stubborn!" Miroku shouted, I sighed and shook my head knowing exactly where this was going. "W-what?! You...!" Inuyasha was stunned, he wasn't expecting him to argue with him over this. "Hah! He looks like a mere mortal." Jaken exclaims and thumps the giant with his staff, "Lord Sesshomaru, leave this monk to me! No sense in wasting your time with him." I growled at Jaken, making sure he could see me. He visibly gulped in fear, the last time I saw him, I made sure to give him a piece of my mind.

"That's true. I'll just watch." Sesshomaru agreed, "Onward! Smash them!" Jake ordered, the giant demon growled and raised its fist at us. "Everyone, get back!" Miroku opens his Wind Tunnel, "Heaven's wrath!" Miroku's Wind Tunnel sucks at Sesshmaru, who thrusts Tetsusaiga into the ground to gain a foothold. The giant demon's fist is sucked in while the rest of him struggles, I was amazed that he could get a diant demon in his Wind Tunnel like that. "N-no-o... Stop!" Jaken panicked, he most likely didn't want to get sucked into the void. "Heavenly power! It's the Wind Tunnel!" Shippo exclaimed, he was sitting on my shoulder.

"Miroku, you look great!" Kagome smiled, she turns to Inuyasha with a smile as well. "Inuyasha, you too." She said, "Don't say it like an afterthought." Inuyasha muttered, making me chuckle lightly. These three are something else, I just hoped that we could get Tetsusaiga back from Sesshomaru before that demon kills us.
