Emi's pov

As soon as Inuyasha and I headed towards the door, there was a loud commotion that came from Miroku's room which made me nervous. It seemed that the commotion was loud enough to wake both Shippo and Kagome, all of us rushing into Miroku's room to find two men who had just stood to their feet. "Miroku, are you alright?" I asked, "Yeah, I'm fine." Miroku nodded, "Miroku, what happened?!" Inuyasha asked, "Aren't these men of this castle?" Kagome pointed out, my eyes shifted to them and I nodded. "They mentioned something about a Sacred Jewel fragment. Now, start talking." Miroku stated, turning back to their men. To be honest, seeing Miroku like this was kind of hot but I wasn't going to admit that. I didn't need Kagome or Inuyasha on my ass again, especially because Miroku was a bit of a pervert. "We just wanted your Sacred Jewel fragment!" The first man said, "Our lord went to get the one the artist possesses." The other guy stated, "So you know where the artist is? Where is he? Answer me!" Miroku snapped. When they gave him an answer, Miroku suddenly jumped onto Kagome's bike. I acted quickly, not wanting Miroku to go alone. "You're not going alone." I held onto him, "Kagome! I'm going to borrow your contraption!" He quickly peddled away from the others, "Wait for me! Me, too!" Kagome shouted and ran after us, I heard Inuyasha grab Kagome and Shippo. I knew that they were following after us, but all of us were completely worried about the people that artist was going to harm with his demons.

"How come you decided to come with me?" Miroku asked, "I didn't want you taking on that painter by yourself. You may be able to handle yourself well on your own but not against all of those demons." I stated, "Thanks for having my back.. I didn't think you liked me much." He said, looking back at me briefly. "You may be a flirt and a bit of a pervert but I can tell you're really a good guy. I figured that out when you were fighting Inuyasha and you didn't want the villagers to get sucked into your Wind Tunnel. You also didn't want neither Kagome, Inuyasha or I to get sucked into your Wind Tunnel." I smiled softly at him, he seemed slightly stunned for a moment. "You gathered all that just from watching me use my wind tunnel?" He quipped, "Yeah, I'm a very observant person. Especially when it comes to those who come around my sister." I said, "You know... I wanted to ask. How are you two sisters? She's not a half demon." Miroku asked, "You probably figured that Kagome and I aren't from your time because of our clothing and the things we carry. Kagome's family looks after the Shrine that was built and the Bone Eaters' Well happens to be in our shrine. Apparently one day, Kagome's mom found me in the shrine as a baby and took my in despite me being different. That's how Kagome and I became sisters, her mom adopted me." I explained to him, "What about your parents? If you're a half demon then your parents must come from this time." Miroku suggested, "To be honest with you, I don't know too much about my parents." I frowned, "From what I heard from Myoga, my father was a great dog demon like Inuyasha's dad but they aren't related. My mom was human and apparently, she was a very nice person.. My mother died a couple days after she had me and my father disappeared. He had two sons before he met my mother, so I have siblings I don't know about." I felt saddened by the fact that I didn't know my family, Miroku went quiet for a moment just thinking about what we talked about. "I'm sorry that you didn't get to know your parents. If you would be okay with it, I would like to help you learn more about them." He offered, I looked at him stunned as I didn't expect him to do that. "Yeah.. Sure. Thank you."

We soon arrived at the place where the artist was and it was utter chaos that broke out, it seemed that the Lord of the mansion we had stayed at had gone after the painter. Just as we got there demons rush out of the hut and attacks the lord's men. They yelled in terror and run away, causing the lord's horse to panic. "Wait! Someone! Calm my horse!" He shouted, "This is not good." Miroku said, looking up at the demons. "Those damn idiots." I muttered, shaking my head. Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippo arrive a minute or two after us and Inuyasha looked ready to fight. "If you slay them, the noxious odor will overcome you. What'll will you do, Inuyasha?!" Shippo questioned, he was standing with Kagome. "Shut up!" Inuyasha snapped, he leaped upward and slays some of the demons. In doing so, he saved the Lord who seemed grateful and terrified. "You saved me! I will reward you later." The lord runs off, leaving us to deal with the painter and his demons. I jumoed up into the air, slashing a few demons in half. I grimaced heavily when the smell hit my nose, I landed on my feet and moved away from the area as blood and ink came raining down.

"Ughh! This ink smells awful!" Inuyasha said, "Inuyasha!" I looked away from my area and saw Inuyasha pass out. "Shit." A demon came charging at me, he swung his arm down and I dodged it. I jumped up into the air, landing on the demon's arm. I slashed his arm, causing him to scream in pain. My ears twitched as I heard Shippo and Kagome panicking, "How long must you sleep, Inuyasha?!" The demon moved the arm I was standing on, I nearly lost my footing but found my balance and kept slashing up its arm as I ran. I heard more yelling and looked over my shoulder to see a demon heading towards Kagome, Shippo and Inuyasha. "Inuyasha!" Kagome shouted, shaking his unconscious body. "Kagome!!" I jumped off of the demon and didn't see the large hand coming my way as my focus was on my sister.

"Emi, watch out!!" I turned my head, my eyes widening as I saw the hand coming down. I had no time to dodge it, the hand hit me with full force sending me hurtling through the air. I slammed into a nearby hut behind Kagome and Shippo, the hut breaking on impact. I let out a loud groan, struggling to get from underneath all the debris. "Emi!!" Shippo came running over, pushing piles of wood off of me. I looked up as Miroku dashes in front of us and destroys the demon with his staff which made me sigh in relief. "Emi, are you alright?" Kagome called out as Shippo pushed more debris off of me, "Yeah.." Shippo helped me sit up, my eyed widening as I saw a horde of demons head towards us. I stood to my feet, grabbing onto Shippo and headed towards Kagome. "Oh god, there's too many." I said, Miroku turns to the horde and removes the beads around his right hand.

"All of you, stay behind me at all times! I shall open my Wind Tunnel!"

"Miroku, you can't possibly do this by yourself." I put Shippo down and walked forward but Kagome grabbed my hand to stop me. "Stay back, Emi. I can handle it!" Miroku snapped, making me stop in my tracks. Miroku turns his attention back to the demons and sucks the entire horde of demons into his Wind Tunnel. I stared in awe as Miroku kept going, I couldn't believe that he could handle that many demons going into the Wind Tunnel. My ears twitched as I heard something come from a hut nearby but I shook it off and looked back at Miroku, I was concerned with how much energy he was expending. Miroku closes his Wind Tunnel and falls on his knees, I rushed over to check on him. "Miroku!" Kagome called, she sounded just as concerned as I was. "Are you alright?" I asked, bending down next to him. "It's the first time I've sucked in so much evil at once. I'm a bit exhausted... I'll be okay." He looked up at me, giving me a small smile. My ears perked up as we heard rumbling come from the hut, "What now?" Kagome quipped, sounding annoyed.

A huge three-headed snake bursts out of the hut, the painter riding on its neck. "Are you kidding me?" I groaned, throwing my arms up in the air. I had no weapon to fight that thing and Miroku was exhausted, things were not looking good for us. I heard movement behind Miroku and I and felt relieved to see Inuyasha was now awake, "This is also an ink painting, isn't it?" Kagome asked, "Definitely." I shook my head as Inuyasha got to his feet, "I won't let you get away!" He shouted, he took off running towards the demon. The snake demon rushes towards Inuyasha who dodges it but in doing so, the snake demon turned its attention onto us. "Ahh!" Shippo panicked, "Kagome! Where's the Jewel fragment?!" Inuyasha questioned, Kagome stands up and stares at the painter, "I see it! Inside the bamboo container on the waist!" Kagome answered.

"Got it!" Inuyasha leaps onto the snake demon and turned back, "Right! I almost forgot to tell you! Hey, Miroku! Stop showing off by yourself!" I scoffed, shaking my head at Inuyasha's petty comment. "Stubborn punk!" The painter flung open a painting, "Go! Kill him!" Several demons appear from the painting and flies towards Inuyasha, "Keh! Create havoc, will you?!" Inuyasha punches the demons out of the way as he moves up the snake demon.

"Oh! What kind of trick is that?" Miroku quipped playfully.

"He's just slugging them." I said. "What?! Giving up? Repent and turn over the Jewel fragment!" Inuyasha snapped, reaching the painter. Two of the snake demon's heads turn around and spews fire and Inuyasha. "The burning fires of Hell will consume you, bones and all!" The fire burned Inuyasha, making me concerned. "Why you...! That's enough outta you!" Inuyasha angrily runs up the snake's neck with Tetsuiga in his hand, "Fool! As if I'd let a human kill me!" He shouted, "I'll never let you have it! I'm going to grasp happiness with this Sacred Jewel fragment." The painter leaps off the snake demon, "Enough, I said!"
