Friends are coming.
As dawn broke over the city, the devastating news of the building collapse had already reached far and wide. In different parts of the world, the parents of Lev, Patricia, Sophie, and Ashley called their children, their voices trembling with urgency and concern.
"Annie is trapped in the building that collapsed," Levs mother said, her voice strained. "They haven't found her yet."
Similar calls echoed across the globe. Patricia's mother, choking back tears, relayed the dire situation. Sophie's father, in a somber tone, shared the news. Ashley's mother, voice cracking with worry, urged her daughter to come home.
As soon as Lev, Patricia, Sophie, and Ashley heard the news, their hearts sank. Fear and determination took hold. Within minutes, they were on a group video call, their faces pale with shock but resolute.
"We need to be there," Lev declared, his voice firm. "Annie needs us."
"I'll pack right now," Sophie replied, wiping away tears. "We'll take the earliest flight to Korea."
"Yes," Patricia agreed. "We'll find her, no matter what."
Ashley nodded, Without hesitation, each of them packed their luggage, their movements quick and purposeful. Every moment felt like an eternity, but they knew they had to be strong for Annie. Their respective partners supported them wholeheartedly, helping with the preparations and promising to handle things in their absence.
In a matter of hours, they were at the airport, in each different country their hearts heavy but united by a singular purpose. The earliest flight to Korea couldn't come soon enough, and the wait was agonizing. Each of them replayed memories of Annie, her laughter, her kindness, and the bond they shared. The thought of losing her was unbearable.
As the plane took off, they held onto the hope that their presence would make a difference. They knew Annie was a fighter, and they would fight for her too. The journey seemed endless, but the determination to find their friend fueled their resolve.
Upon landing in Korea, Lev, Patricia, Sophie, and Ashley quickly took on different roles, driven by their determination to find Annie. As they made their way to the collapse site, the gravity of the situation weighed heavily on them, but their resolve remained unshaken.
Lev immediately took charge, instructing Ali the CEO GL ELECTRONIC, to contact the head of the search operation. "Ali, call the head of the search team and let them know that GL Electronics is here to help. We need to mobilize all our resources."
Ali nodded, his fingers flying over his phone. Within minutes, the call was made. The Captain, exhausted but relentless, answered.
This is Captain Lee."
"Captain Lee, this is Ali from GL Electronics," Ali said. "GL ELECTRONICS offer our full support in the search operation. We have advanced technology and resources that can aid in finding the missing, including Annie."
Captain Lee's face lit up with a rare smile of relief. "Thank you, GL Electronics. This is a tremendous help. We appreciate your support."
As the call ended, the news quickly spread through the media. Lev's announcement was broadcasted live on TV, giving hope to many who were waiting anxiously for their loved ones. Ken, who had been pacing near the rubble, saw the broadcast and felt a surge of renewed hope. He remembered how close Annie was to her four friends, like sisters, and now they were here, standing beside him in this crisis.
A swarm of cameras and reporters converged as Lev approached the podium hastily set up outside the airport. Taking a deep breath, he began, his voice steady and resolute.
