Simon's Pov:

I'm on my way home and it's 7 p.m. I wanted to come back a little later but guilt had assailed me. So here I am, in front of the house that houses my whole life.

The lights are on, even though it wasn't that dark outside.

Through the window I could see an Adele sitting on the kitchen stool, crying.

I'm a shit, I know. I'll try to fix it.

Without being heard I entered the house, she was where I had seen her a few seconds before.

I looked at her for a while longer and then gathered my courage and approached her.
I hugged her waist from behind and kissed her neck.
She was startled at first but then I realised it was me.

"It's me my love, it's me" she didn't give me a glance or even a word.

Not that I expected otherwise.

"Little Delly I know you're mad at me, I'm sorry" she simply shook her head and headed for the stairs and into our room.

Slowly I followed her and when I opened the door she was in bed with her eyes closed.

I knew she was obviously still awake so I spoke.

"What if I told you to put on the best dress you have that we're going out tonight?" I said leaning against the wall looking at her back.

"Fuck off," she told me in a broken voice.

"Is that what you would tell me? Even if I told you I was taking you somewhere special?" She sat up and looked me in the eye this time.

"I don't know what to tell you Simon"

"don't say anything. In an hour I want you to wear a dress that will make even those who made it envious. And under the dress a sexy lingerie" I whispered the last part in her ear, nibbling on her earlobe.

She didn't have time to say anything else that I went to Angelo's room

"Daddy's love, hello" he ran towards me.

"Daddy where were you today?, it was mummy's birthday"

"I know my love, but I went with your aunts to organize a big surprise for her. Do you forgive me?"

"Yes, but mummy should do it too" Peanut said.

He was right.

"I know love, I know. But I'm sure after the surprise we gave her she won't be able to stay mad for a second. She'll love it, I assure you" my little one smiled.

...

One hour has passed and Adele is still upstairs, so I want to check if she's ok.

I knocked on the door and heard Adere whisper 'come in', so I came in.

She was struggling with the zip of the beautiful black dress she was wearing.

I went behind her and whispered 'I'm having a hard time getting the zip up and don't take the dress straight off, just know it' I grabbed her waist, kissed her neck and then lifted her zip.

She turned and looked at me.

"You don't have to if you don't want to" she said and I took her hand.

"There is nothing I don't want to do for you, remember that" I kissed her hand.

"It's a special day after all, isn't it? You said so yourself" I smiled and her face suddenly lit up, as if I had said Beyoncé is in the living room waiting for her.
