Love is not enough

An entire life for us

Simon's Pov:

She said yes!!! She said yes! My God, I still don't believe it.

I started crying like a baby as soon as I realised.

Adele and I were still hugging each other until, holding her close to me, I lay down on the sand.

"I still can't believe it" I looked at the stars with her in my arms.

"We will get married my love" Adele kissed me.

Suddenly we felt sand getting in our faces and on our clothes: it was Angelo running and moving the sand with his little feet.

He snuggled up to me and Adele with an overly sweet smile.

"My handsome love" his mum hugged him smilingly.

"Are you getting married mum?" He lifted his little head to see her.

"Yes my love" she pulled him closer to her "are you happy?"

"Yes mama. But are you going to wear the white dress and princess hair?" He asked her.

Adele nodded, laughing.

"Your mum is always a princess, peanut, imagine her in a white wedding dress. She will be a queen" Adele kissed me softly.

We got up and went to hug our families and friends, only the girls knew I was going to ask Adele to marry me.

It was getting late and Peanut was very tired, as was everyone else. Since we were a bit far from home, we proposed to everyone to sleep here, there is no shortage of space, there are many double rooms. For Adele and me, however, I chose the most beautiful one, the one with a large terrace overlooking the beach.

"Are you tired love?" I asked Angelo.

"Yes, I'm so tired daddy" he snuggled on my shoulder and closed his eyes.

I took him to a room with a rather big bed for him, but we will think about that later, covered him up and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

Adele then came in and sang him a little song, which put him completely to sleep.

"Goodnight little peanut, I love you," she said .

Then we left the room without making too much noise and closed the door.

"We're alone sweetie" I kissed her and looked at the two emeralds she got as her eyes.

"There are our mums downstairs, still quite awake" I heard her giggle quietly.

So we went downstairs and joined them.

"Ehy lovebirds," said Katelyn.

"Still awake?" Said Rosemary.

"We're not babies anymore mum" said Simon.

"Don't make me think about it Simon" said Katelyn.

"Adele, let's just say your mother is quite aware that you won't sleep tonight, all because of my son. Right Simon?"

"Well it depends on your point of view mum" Simon smiled mischievously and held me by the waist.

Adele slapped my chest and pulled away laughing.

"Simon don't do such things in front of me. She's still my innocent baby," she feigned a cry.

"Well Kate, I don't think she's any more innocent since she met mister here" I smiled broadly and kissed my mother's cheek.

"Exactly mum" I said.

"I agree too mum" Adele smiled innocently and shrugged slightly.

"Okay I get it, you're going to do naughty things tonight Del. I have to get over it" Katelyn held her forehead as if she was not feeling great.
