The next morning...

Simon's Pov:

I was in bed with my beautiful princess beside me when I woke up, she's really a beauty, I'm a very lucky man indeed.

Since I hate to wake her up from her pleasant sleep, I got out of bed and went downstairs and prepare breakfast. I warmed up some milk for Angelo and put it in a bottle, then I made my way to his room.

"Oh hi babe, you woke up" I said as I walked insime my son's room and found Adele awake.

"Hi baby" she picked my lips "I heard this little boy crying and here I am" she giggled.

"I didn't hear him, I was with my earphones" I laughed.

I began to walk towards her "I made him some milk, can I feed him?"

"Of course you can daddy" she said with a sweet voice and giggled.

We sat down on a little sofa in the room while I was feeding my little mister.

"You're so good with him" she rester her head on my shoulder while looking at the baby.

"Thank you Delly, I appreciate that, I'm really trying to be a good dad to him, as good as I can" I smiled at her.

"You are a good dad Simon, do you have any doubts about it?" She questioned me.

"Well I'm just scared to be not enough, that's it. I have a sister and a brother who are older than me, you know that, I've never had the opportunity to deal with a child before, so I'm trying my best to be a good parent" I sadly smiled.

"But Simon you are a good parent. I know you have two older siblings but just looking at you with him is amazing: you are so sweet and kind, you make him laugh and he loves you already Si" she said hugging me.

"Thank you baby, I love you" I said tearing up.

"Don't cry baby and don't be scared ok? I love you too."

"Do you want this right Simon?" She asked after about a minute of silence, a peaceful silence.

"Of course princess!, why wouldn't I? I want you and peanut more than anything else in this world!" I reassured her.

She smiled and kissed me on the lips.

In the evening...

Simon's Pov:

"Babe, have you already taken your medicines before dinner?" I asked her.

"Yes baby I did" she replied.

Since Adele gave birth to Angelo she had to take some medicines because her labor wasn't that easy.
She almost lost her life, and her baby, because she lost a lot of blood and was powerless, she could no longer push.

Past:

At the hospital...

Adele's Pov:

"I can't do this anymore Simon" I said in a whisper but loud enough for him to hear me.

"Of course you can honey, come on we all believe in you angel" he said with his warm voice that I've always loved.

After about 2 hours of pushing I completely lost my forces.

"Adele, squeeze my hand as hard as you can" Simon said and my mum began to panic because I couldn't even keep my eyes open.

"I'm trying my best" I whispered.

"Miss you can do it, but we give you oxygen because you are very weak and unstable" the doctor said.

Simon's Pov:

Adele is giving birth to peanut but something is wrong with her, she's so weak and she can't even talk.

"Madam keep your eyes open if you can, we want to check if you are a little bit more stable right now".

Adele didn't move or said a word...

"Adele" I called her while looking at her.

"Oh my god she passed out or something fuck, help my daughter, please help her!" Kaitlyn shouted and cried over her daughter's head.

"Adele wake up please, angel wake up" I cried while I was holding her hand, hoping she will squeeze mine any moment by now.

But nothing of that happend...

Adele isn't moving, isn't talking, her eyes are closed and her body seems lifeless.

Lifeless...

"What's wrong with her?!" Kaitlyn basically shouted.

"She has lost so many energies ma'am that's why she is in this state" the doctor quickly said, trying to find a way to wake Adele up.

"Is she breathing, right?" I asked.

The doctor pauses...

"So, tell us is she breathing?" I said a little bit louder than before.

"Very slowly sir, she is really struggling right now, We are doing everything we can to ensure that neither Adele nor her baby lose their lives, trust me." the doctor said a bit sad.

Present:

Adele's Pov:

"Don't worry I did everything that I needed to do sir" I said to Simon.

I sat beside him on the couch, after putting Angelo in his crib to sleep.

"Good girl" he said putting an arm around me.
With that we went for a long passionate kiss.

"Did you know that the packaging of your medicines is practically the same as my headache tablets?" He said.

"Is it the same? yellow?" I asked curiously.

He nodded.

"Well be careful not to take my postpartum pills Simon!" I worned him.

"Several times I risked taking the wrong ones" Simon laughed.

"No way!" I laughed "I didn't actually know you gave birth to a baby Simon"

"I didn't know as well" he laughed again.

We kissed while smiling.

I heard Simon saying after a few minutes "I thought I lost you" slowly separating from my lips.

"You are never gonna lose me, trust me" I smiled.

"I really hope so, because you almost did young lady" he replied.

"But I'm here right? So you don't have to worry, I'm going to bother you till the rest of your life man" I kissed him and he kissed me back. It was a kiss full of love and passion.
