HOUSTON, TX
TW: age gap relations/mildly sexual content
After the picnic, I decided it was time to head back to my room and call it a night. My clothes were sticking to my body, my edges were sweated out, my braids suddenly felt itchy, and the collection of bodies near me only made me crave the feeling of that twin XL bed more. The sun had worn me out for the day, and I couldn't take another minute of the sweltering feeling surrounding me. I stood from my seat, going to throw away my trash and begin heading towards the dorm.
The conversation I had earlier with Leiya and Myra had gone well, besides finding out that my best friend may have portrayed himself as a completely different person to outsiders. I was warned by my parents that college does change a person, but I wasn't warned it could also show one's true colors. I battled with myself mentally, wondering should I or should I not call Jungkook and address the situation. As upset as I was, I was mature enough to understand that he wasn't obligated to tell me, but I couldn't help but be a little hurt by the fact he didn't want to.
As I allowed my thoughts to cloud my mind, I heard my name being faintly called from a short distance behind me, causing me to turn around. Walking towards me I saw Leiya, her hands tossing her hair into a low messy bun. As she approached me, I could see a small grin of sympathy. "I'm sorry we bombarded you with questions earlier," she said, her hands leaving her hair to fiddle with the clasp of her necklace. "I don't care if you fuck with him."
"It's cool," I said shrugging. "I mean I get it. I wouldn't do it, but I get it." Leiya laughed before nodding off, shoving her hands in her pants. I could see her eyes wandering over me, and without question, I did the same. Although I wasn't a lesbian, I did dibble and dabble in the same sex, and I was woman enough to admit when a girl was attractive. Her swag, the way she carried herself, and the aura she released was very captivating. She was really pretty.
"So," She said, looking back at me in my eyes. "Where you going?"
"To my dorm," I said, knowing she probably expected a different response. "I'm tired and I usually sleep in, but y'all have had me up since six some' this morning." I joked, seeing her just nod with a slight chuckle. "Ight then, let me walk with you. Get to know you aside from all the work stuff."
Considering her offer, and apology, I felt like having some company on my walk back to my room would be greatly appreciated, so I obliged. As we walked and chatted, I discovered she was very funny. Though from New York, she didn't have the thick accent you hear from a lot of people on social media, but then again, she said you didn't have a deep country accent like she assumed most people from Texas would have.
Stupid Stereotypes.
"Okay so, tell me the truth, okay, and I'm not flirting or anything. This is genuine curiosity," Leiya said, looking over at me as we walked side by side. I just smiled, looking at my feet, already having an idea of where the conversation was going. "Do you like girls? Like ion know, you give off this vibe."
