Brianna stood outside her bedroom door, contemplating her entry. She could hear the soft sniffles and rummaging about her room on the opposite side, Jungkook's small groans of frustration seeping through the small crack beneath the door. "Kookie?" She said softly after making 3 small taps on the door.

"Brianna please," He whined from the opposite side, needing her to go away.

"I can't go unless I know you're okay," She said, her ear pressed against the bedroom door. She could hear the sound of him sucking his teeth, sighing at her stubbornness.

"I'll be out in a minute, just please go away for a second, baby," He said, still managing to be kind despite how frustrated he was with her. He knew deep down it wasn't her fault, or her mother's, considering his parents had always been invited over for Christmas dinner. However, Brianna usually told her mother everything, so he thought she would have at least had the decency to beg her mom to cancel with his parents.

He didn't feel betrayed, but more blindsided. He would've never come here if he knew that he would still see his parents at some point, especially in a place where he thought he'd find peace.

"I'm not going away," Brianna said to him, Jungkook rolling his eyes as he sat on the ground in front of his suitcase, "So, if you don't want me to see you crying right now, I suggest you wipe your tears because I'm coming in." Jungkook sighed, wiping his face as he continued to pack his suitcase, the sound of the doorknob twisting open was followed by the small creaking of the bedroom's wooden door.

"Kookie?" Brianna said softly, peaking her head inside, seeing him near her closet with his suitcase between his legs, him shoving his clothes back inside. "What are you doing," Brianna asked as she walked into the room, acknowledging his actions as she shut the door behind her, "Stop that."

"Brianna, move," Jungkook said, seeing the girl drop down beside him, unpacking the bag he began to repack. "You're not leaving," Brianna responded with a semi-shaky voice as she pushed away his hand, which Jungkook ignored and continued to pack his things.

"Jungkook stop it," She pleaded with him, continuing to unpack his things, slamming his shirts and boxers down beside her, "Please, don't leave. I'll fix it, I swear!"

"Why not?" Jungkook asked, finally looking at her and acknowledging her existence, "Tell me why? Give me a good reason why I should stay that doesn't involve you! Hell, the only reason I'm here is because of you, the only person I give a damn about here is you, shit, the only person who truly gives a damn about me here is you! So other than you Brianna, what is here for me?" The pain was evident on the boy's face, his tears tickling the brim of his eyes and the clear desire to leave seething through his words.

"There is nothing here for me, baby," Jungkook said, Brianna, chewing on her lower lip as she looked at his half-full suitcase, "If I leave now, I'll just see you again two weeks. If I stay? I have to deal with the loss of my parents again, Brianna. Please don't put me through that." Brianna felt selfish because, despite his need to leave, her need for him to be with her overpowered it. She understood it, but she couldn't bear to spend their first Christmas as a couple apart, especially over something she could fix. However, a lot like her, he was stubborn and once he'd made up his mind there was no way around it. She wiped her face and stood up, her arms crossed over her chest.
