HOUSTON, TX
"Don't worry about how much it cost," Jungkook groaned as Brianna skimmed over another Chanel bag, "Just get what you want." Brianna had been roaming around the mall for hours, Jungkook taking her on a shopping spree for Valentine's day, since he knew she'd like that most. He had saved several pay checks for this moment, so money wasn't an issue, but Brianna couldn't bear to ask him for something so expensive.
"No, baby, it's fine," Brianna said as she turned from the bags, her face frowning as she looked at him, "I'll ask my daddy, I can't have you spending $3,000 something on a bag, especially after all you've done already. It's stupid." Jungkook grew visibly irritated as she passed him, making her way towards the store's exit. His shoulders slumped and his jaw clenched as he watched her, seeing her eyes slowly wander to something new every so often. He hated that every time she wanted something, she'd call her parents. She didn't ask him to buy her much, and it bothered him.
"Bro," He uttered, turning to the wall of handbags before looking over his shoulder, seeing the girl make sweet conversation with an employee within the shop as he silently called another over to remove the bag from the protective wire.
"Thanks man," Jungkook said to the clerk, the man nodding. "For a special someone?" The man asked, discreetly walking with Jungkook to the counter to checkout. Jungkook shrugged, setting the bag on the counter as the man prepared it's checkout, Jungkook watching as Brianna had been so invested in her conversation that she hadn't even noticed him.
"Yeah," Jungkook said, turning back to the clerk with a smug grin, "My girlfriend over there." The clerk looked up, seeing Brianna before chuckling, "I remember being young and in love. Me and my ole' lady been married for 22 years now."
"That's the goal for mines," Jungkook chuckled, removing his wallet in preparation to pay, "Marriage."
"You keep loving her as you do," The older male said, gesturing for Jungkook to swipe his card to pay the bill, "I'm sure it'll happen in due time." Jungkook cracked a smile as the $2,989 purchase went through, the boy not hesitating to swipe his card.
"You and me both," the boy said as the clerk packages his items into a big white and detailed bag, Jungkook taking hold of it with a smile, "Thank you! Have a nice one, and happy Valentines."
The older male waves goodbye to Jungkook as he approached Brianna, the girl finally finishing her conversation up in time to turn to him. "What took you so long?" She asked, not noticing the bag behind the boy's back until he revealed it.
"As long as we're together, nothing cost or is too much for me," He said, a visible expression of shock and gratefulness on the girl's face, "Happy Valentines day, my love." The girl stared at not the bag, but the boy holding it in awe. She was quite used to materialistic things, and designer hand bags, but it was more than that.
