HOUSTON, TX

It was the beginning of December. The crisp, winter air mixed with the humidity and moist atmosphere of Houston had Brianna quite tired after her morning classes. She had just walked from her first class of the day, and was then heading to the one she had lately started to dread:

English.

Over the past few months, she had been arriving late to the class in hopes of not having any run-ins with Darron, consistently avoiding him in and out of the lecture hall. However, after a brief meeting with Mrs. Monroe, her professor, Brianna was made aware that her attendance was lacking, which her professor was worried would affect her negatively in the long run. So there she sat, in the English Lecture hall 10 minutes before the class even began.

Though alone in the room, other early birds sitting scarcely about the room, Brianna giggled as she texted Jungkook on her phone. The boy didn't need to be up until much later, but she texted him earlier that morning to keep her company as she sat in class with the boy she now avoided. Having been together for almost a month and a half now, Brianna and Jungkook were now smooth sailing. They hadn't argued since Leiya's weekend birthday getaway unless you counted bickering over food and fashion an argument.

They had been texting all morning and still proceeded even though people began filing into the classroom. Jungkook sending the girl pictures of himself in her bonnet and robe:

Brianna chuckled and shook her head, considering she and the boy were just in each other's faces all weekend. He was acting as if he hadn't seen her yesterday morning and was on the phone with her all night. He was so clung onto her, and from an outsider's view, it was obvious he liked her more than she liked him, but it worked for them. It was the perfect ratio of love to keep their relationship afloat:

I told you imma come see you
Do u want anything to eat?

You know what I wanna eat

I mean food.

Oh.
Yeah, that's fine too ig.
