"Shit!" Brianna yelled as she burnt herself over the loose fire on the stove. Jungkook turned to her, seeing her holding her wrist as she whined in agony before groaning in frustration. "Brianna, bro, what the hell?" He cursed, dropping the knife in his hand and going to the freezer, grabbing an ice pack out of the fridge before rushing towards her. He quickly pressed the icepack against her burn, hearing her hiss as he sucked his teeth. "I told you to be careful," He said softly, but anger filled his voice. "What were you doing?"

"I just tried to turn the oven off," She said, tears pricking at her eyes as he applied pressure to the burn, allowing the coldness of the icepack to cool it. He shook his head before looking back up at her, "I'll finish cooking baby, go sit down," he said, his voice as calm and patient as he could get it. He wasn't upset with her, he knew she only wanted to help, but he was more upset with her clumsiness. They had been trying to make a nice dinner for Leiya, considering her birthday was this week. The two and Jermaine decided to have a week dedicated to the girl and decided there was no better way to start it off than a friendly dinner before their other planned activities of the week. Jungkook offered to do the main course while Jermaine went to pick up Leiya's favorite cheesecake, Brianna decided the least she could do was help.

She wasn't much of a cook, and she didn't do it often considering every time she was in the kitchen she hurt herself or someone else. "I'm fine," Brianna said, going to grab the knife Jungkook had set down. "I want to help." She was swiftly removed from the kitchen by Jungkook, no words came from his mouth except a simple "no". She watched him move about the kitchen silently, irritation settled on his face as he rambled under his breath. Brianna pouted before just going to sit at the island counter, watching him move quietly and stoically about the space. Brianna couldn't help but feel bad for causing him frustration, especially knowing how sensitive he was about her.

Though she had been harmed, it felt like he always carried her pain tenfold.

"I'm sorry," she apologized, the boy's eyes stayed focused as he continued to mince onions and other vegetables before sliding them into the stir fry Brianna had begun to create. "Don't apologize, what are you apologizing for?"

"I make you worry." Brianna's voice faded, thinking of the many times the boy came to her rescue because she was careless and impulsive, or simply just too inattentive. Jungkook stopped his mincing, placing the knife down beside the cutting board and looking up at the girl. "Brianna, stop it," He said, his voice serious but kind. "I worry because I care, never apologize for me caring about you. Do you understand?"

He was so manly and very dominant when speaking with her, and it always made her fall vulnerable though she wanted to object or argue. "I asked you a question," Jungkook said, placing a top over the steak glaze he made, allowing it to simmer. He sat his hands on the counter beneath him before hovering over the island slightly, his full focus on Brianna, "Do you understand me?"
