"Bro, hurry up!" Jungkook called to Brianna, the girl taking her sweet time to come out of the house, "We're gonna be late. Hurry, baby, please!"

"Don't rush me, I'm coming!" Brianna whined, her face frowned up as she ran out of the house, attempting to put on her heels, "You should've told me about this sooner, oh my gosh." Jungkook rolled his eyes, especially considering he'd told her about him scoring the two of them tickets to the Kehlani concert earlier that morning, so she had well over 7 hours to plan and get ready. It was New Year's Eve, and Jungkook knew how meaningful it'd be for Brianna to see her favorite artist live before she had to face the tough reality of college again in two weeks.

"You've gotta do better—" As Jungkook attempted to scold her, he felt the girl's thick lips fall on his, her arm hanging around his neck. Suddenly his frustration and annoyance slipped away, and his hands wrapped around her waist. Brianna pulled away with small pecks before smiling, "So excited, cmon!"

She hopped into the passenger seat of the car, smiling as the boy closed the door for her, getting a glimpse of himself in the tinted window. Her red lipstick sat on his lips making him sigh, wiping away the color as he made his way around the car, going to the driver's side and getting in.

Brianna somehow managed to hook her phone up to Jungkook's car, the song 'Get Me Started' by Kehlani easing through the car's stereo. As Jungkook adjusted the car mirrors and put in his seatbelt, he listened to the lyrics as he did so, pausing and taking a minute to hear the words:

It ain't been the same between us, where's the disconnection? You need somethin' else, well, maybe she can do it better.

He narrowed his eyes, hearing Brianna hum along, singing the words here and there and not missing a beat. He leaned forward, turning up the radio:

You wanna leave? Be my guest. Pushin' my buttons, you gon get me started. Call me aggressive, I'm just bein' honest.

He scoffed, his habit of cocking his head in frustration happening as he turned the car on caught Brianna's attention, the girl being thrown off by his sudden change of emotion. "Are you upset?" She asked cluelessly, going to turn down the radio, "Is it about me being late? I wasn't trying, I just—"

"No, it's just—" The boy interrupted, taking a minute to pull off before he spoke, "Why is this the first song you play when we get in the car?" Brianna raised an eyebrow, confused about his question. "We are going to her concert, are we not?" She asked, genuinely confused, "I mean, this song is a part of the album, it's on the setlist."

"I mean I know," He said, arriving at a stop sign before shrugging, "It's just ironic that the first song you play in the album is this one?" Brianna allowed herself to pause, listening to the song's lyrics and fully acknowledging its words before scoffing, going to turn the radio down even though the song was coming to a close.
