"Hi, Draco!" Dorothea waved excitedly at her cousin, who just gave her a cold nod in return. He rolled his eyes as he went to board the train, only for Narcissa to grab his arm and pull him aside as Andromeda and Ted did the same with Dorothea.
"Draco, listen very closely to what I'm about to say to you," Narcissa began. "You need to look out for Thea. She's lonely. You need to step up and be there for her."
Draco crossed his arms. "But Father said that—"
"I don't give a damn what your father said. I want you to listen to what I'm saying. You need to look after Dorothea."
"Why do I have to look out for her?" Draco asked, annoyed. "She's fourteen. She can take care of herself."
"Draco," Narcissa said sternly. "Promise me."
Seeing as his mother wasn't going to take no for an answer, he sighed. "Fine. But the moment she starts seeking affection from me in front of the rest of the school, I'm shoving her into the Black Lake."
"You will do no such thing, Draco Lucius. You know she can't swim."
Juniper gave Dorothea a hug goodbye. The teenager boarded the train with a small frown, her mother's voice telling her to make friends echoing in her mind as she made her way down the narrow corridor in search of an empty compartment.

The first thing Dorothea noticed when she walked into the Great Hall for the start of term feast with her fellow Hufflepuffs was Juniper sitting at the professor's table. Her eyes lit up, an excited gasp falling from her lips. Her godmother waved to her when she caught her eye.
Juniper was secretly on a mission for the Order. Cornelius Fudge had implemented Dolores Umbridge as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and it was Juniper's job to pose as a professor and spy on her. Everyone knew that she was a cruel woman, and Mad-Eye needed her there to look after the students of Hogwarts and try to do something about whatever inhumane methods she would try to use on them.
"Isn't that your cousin's godmother?" Pansy Parkinson asked Draco as the Sorting began.
"Yes," Draco replied tensely. "And she's not my cousin."
