The music thumped through the dimly lit club, the bass reverberating in Taylor Swift's chest as she swayed to the beat. Kylie Kelce danced beside her, both of them lost in the music and the electric energy of the night. It had been a long time since Taylor had let loose like this, and she was determined to make the most of it.
Another round of shots arrived at their table, courtesy of an eager fan who had recognized them. Taylor lifted her glass, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "To a night we won't remember, but a friendship we'll never forget!" she shouted over the music.
Kylie giggled, clinking her glass against Taylor's. "Cheers to that!"
They downed their shots, the fiery liquid burning its way down their throats. Taylor felt a pleasant warmth spread through her body, the alcohol blurring the edges of her thoughts. She glanced at Kylie, who was already ordering another round. This was going to be one of those nights, and she was ready for it.
Hours passed in a blur of laughter, dancing, and countless selfies. By the time they stumbled out of the club, the world outside was starting to hint at dawn, the sky a faint shade of pink. Taylor's head spun as she tried to focus on her phone, attempting to call a car to take them home.
"Ugh, I can't see straight," she muttered, squinting at the screen.
Kylie, equally tipsy, leaned against her, peering at the phone. "Here, let me try," she said, though her fingers weren't much steadier.
Just then, a sleek black SUV pulled up to the curb. The door swung open, and Travis Kelce stepped out, his expression a mix of amusement and concern. "Well, if it isn't the dynamic duo," he said, his deep voice cutting through the fog in Taylor's mind.
"Travis!" Taylor exclaimed, her face lighting up. She stumbled toward him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You're here!"
He chuckled, steadying her with strong hands. "Of course, I am. Someone had to rescue you two."
Kylie laughed, swaying slightly as she tried to maintain her balance. "We're not that bad," she protested, though the slur in her words gave her away.
Travis helped Taylor into the car, then turned to assist Kylie. Once they were both settled in the back seat, he climbed in beside them, closing the door behind him. As the car started moving, Taylor leaned her head on his shoulder, her eyelids drooping.
"Thank you for coming to get us," she murmured, her voice soft and sleepy.
He kissed the top of her head. "Always. You know I've got your back."
Kylie, already half-asleep against the other window, mumbled something incoherent but happy. Travis smiled, looking down at the two most important women in his life. They were a handful, but they were his handful, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
Back at the apartment, Travis carefully helped Taylor and Kylie inside. He guided Taylor to the couch and draped a blanket over her before turning to help Kylie, who had already kicked off her shoes and was sprawled out on the other end.
"Come on, you two," he said gently, his voice filled with affection. "Let's get you to bed."
Taylor managed a sleepy smile. "Only if you sing us a lullaby."
Travis laughed. "I'll do my best."
He helped them both to their feet and guided them to the bedroom. After tucking them in, he sat on the edge of the bed and started humming a soft tune, his deep voice soothing them into a peaceful sleep.
As he watched them drift off, Travis felt a surge of love and protectiveness. No matter how crazy life got, moments like these reminded him of what truly mattered. With a contented sigh, he leaned back, knowing that as long as they had each other, everything would be alright.
