I have a small series coming this is just while I'm writing the chapters
The living room of Travis Kelce's house was a whirlwind of noise, confusion, and tension. Travis stood in the center, trying to hold it together while chaos swirled around him. Lipstick was smeared across his face, a bright red reminder of the private, quiet morning he had been spending with Taylor Swift—before his family showed up unannounced.
His parents, Donna and Ed, were already giving him questioning looks. Jason, his brother, was smirking, obviously enjoying the spectacle. Kylie, Jason's wife, raised an eyebrow, clearly putting the pieces together. And to make matters worse, Jason's kids, Wyatt and Ellie, were giggling as they pointed out the lipstick on his face.
The room was filled with laughter and suspicion, but only Travis knew just how bad the situation really was. Taylor Swift, the Taylor Swift, was currently crouched behind the couch, hidden from view, praying she wouldn't be discovered. They weren't ready to go public with their relationship, not with his family, and definitely not with the world. But the lipstick and Taylor's purse—found upstairs by an inquisitive Ellie—were making it impossible to keep the secret any longer.
Jason's voice boomed across the room. "Trav, are you gonna explain the lipstick or do we have to guess? 'Cause I'm betting there's a lady involved." His grin was smug, and Travis knew Jason wasn't going to let up until he got answers.
"Yeah, Uncle Travis," Ellie chimed in, still clutching Taylor's purse. "Who's this belong to?"
Kylie folded her arms, giving Travis a knowing look. "You don't have to hide anything from us, Travis. If you're seeing someone, we're happy for you."
Travis wiped at the lipstick, though it only smudged more across his cheek. His heart was racing. They were all staring at him, waiting for an explanation. Jason's grin was getting wider, and Kylie's curiosity was unmistakable. His parents looked more confused by the second, and the kids were still running around, making the whole situation worse.
He glanced at the couch, where Taylor remained hidden, and made a split-second decision. There was no way out of this, but he could at least control how it went down.
"Okay, okay," Travis muttered, raising his hands to calm everyone down. "But before I say anything, can we please just... go to the other room? Just for a minute."
Jason shot him a skeptical look. "What? Why? What are you hiding, Trav?"
"Just trust me," Travis said, his voice tight with frustration. "I'll explain everything, but not here. Can we just go to the kitchen for a second?"
Donna stepped forward, her maternal instincts kicking in. "Travis, what's going on? You're acting really strange."
"I know, Mom, but trust me on this, okay?" Travis glanced toward the couch again, feeling the weight of Taylor's eyes on him from behind it. "Please. Just give me a minute."
Jason's grin faltered slightly, and Kylie exchanged a glance with him, but Donna nodded, sensing that this wasn't just one of Travis's usual antics. "Alright, let's go to the kitchen," she said, motioning for the others to follow.
Jason still looked like he didn't fully understand, but he shrugged and followed Kylie, Wyatt, and Ellie into the kitchen. Donna and Ed trailed behind, curiosity etched on their faces. As they left, Travis stayed behind, breathing a small sigh of relief once the living room was clear.
He quickly turned back to the couch, crouching down to where Taylor was hidden. Her eyes were wide with a mixture of nerves and amusement. "This is a disaster," she whispered, her voice filled with a laugh that she was trying to suppress.
