Pretend they met at a charity event for this one it didn't make sense for the concert and bracelet bc he talked about it to Jason so he would have know like something was going on if he said that on his podcast and then all of a sudden he has a girlfriend like

The living room was quiet except for the sound of a football game in the background. Jason had his phone in his hand, scrolling through texts from his brother, Travis. It had been a busy season, and the two hadn't had time to catch up in person as often as they used to. But with a rare free weekend coming up, Jason had plans.

Grinning, he dialed his brother's number and listened to the ringing, trying to decide whether to lure him over with the promise of their mom's home-cooked meal or some competitive video games.

After a few rings, Travis answered.

"Hey, Jase!" Travis said, sounding slightly out of breath.

"Hey, man! I was thinking, it's been too long since you came around. How about swinging by this weekend? The family's doing dinner and mom's making that barbecue you like." Jason knew Travis couldn't resist a good meal, especially one of their mom's famous dinners.

There was a pause, then Travis cleared his throat. "Uh, yeah... I don't think I can make it, Jase. I've got something going on."

Jason raised an eyebrow. It wasn't like his brother to pass up family dinner. He decided to have a little fun with him. "Oh, come on, don't tell me you're blowing us off because you've got a hot date?"

He was expecting Travis to laugh it off, to maybe make a joke, and then come up with some other excuse. But instead, he heard a cough and an awkward silence on the other end of the line.

Jason's eyes widened. "Wait... is that actually it? Are you really at your girlfriend's place?"

There was another beat of silence before Travis's voice came through, a little sheepish. "...Well, yeah."

Jason's mind raced. Travis had a girlfriend? He'd thought he would have heard about it by now. They told each other everything—or at least he thought they did.

"Who is she?" Jason asked, excitement building in his voice. "Why didn't you tell me? I mean, come on, I'm your brother!"

Travis sighed, knowing he wouldn't be able to dodge this. "Look, I wanted to keep things private for a bit, alright? It's kind of... complicated."

"Oh, don't you dare leave me hanging with that." Jason's curiosity turned into determination. "Fine, I get it. But you owe the whole family a proper introduction. What do you say we get everyone on FaceTime, and you can tell us all at once?"

"Are you kidding?" Travis sounded horrified. "That's the last thing I—"

But Jason was already on it. He opened the family group chat and fired off a quick message: Travis has a girlfriend! FaceTime call happening now. Everyone, get on!

Within moments, his phone began lighting up as his parents, sister, and a few aunts and cousins joined the call, eagerly waiting for the scoop.

Jason grinned at his screen, feeling triumphant. He glanced over at his brother's video square, where Travis was looking as though he'd walked straight into a trap.

"Alright, alright," Travis said, holding up his hands. "I'll introduce you, but I swear, this was not how I planned it."

His mother's face lit up on the screen. "Oh, honey, we're just so excited for you! Can we see her?"

Travis took a breath, looked off-camera, and then said, "Alright, you might all recognize her."

There was a murmur of curiosity among the family as Travis reached out his hand. A few moments later, another person's face appeared next to his on the screen: Taylor Swift.
