The arrival of Jason and Kylie, along with their three children, initially lifted Taylor's spirits. She loved children and saw their presence as a potential way to break the ice. The kids ran into the room with excitement, their faces lighting up when they saw Taylor.

"Taylor! Taylor!" they called out, their enthusiasm infectious.

Taylor bent down, arms open wide, ready to embrace them. But Kylie, with a dismissive wave, intervened. "Hold on, kids. Let's give Taylor some space. She's probably busy and doesn't need to be overwhelmed right now."

The children hesitated, their excitement dampening as they were guided away. Taylor's heart sank as she watched them go. She forced a smile, trying to mask her disappointment.

As the family settled in for lunch, Taylor continued to make an effort, but the comments began to sting. One of Travis's aunts remarked, "So, Taylor, how do you manage your career and relationship? It must be quite a balancing act."

Taylor smiled, trying to keep her tone light. "It can be challenging, but Travis and I make it work. We understand each other's commitments."

Another cousin, with a smirk, added, "Must be easier with all the help you have, right? It's not like you're doing everything yourself."

The remark hit Taylor hard, but she kept her composure. She glanced over at Travis, hoping he would notice her discomfort, but he was engrossed in conversation with Jason. The tension was growing thicker with every passing minute.
