Taylor leaned against the kitchen counter her mind puzzled with the events of the past few weeks .she and Travis have been dating for several months now and their relationship is going to be taken to the next level .they had found a rhythm balancing their career and their private lives But today their peace was shattered . She glanced at the innocent little white stick in the counter. She had taken the test earlier this morning to anxious to wait and in a rush for today's events she had forgotten to dispose of it.the test sat in her bag which she was bringing with her .
"Taylor honey are you ready to leave" Travis said clawing from the hallway .they were heading to visit his family for a weekend gathering which was rare for them
"Just a second!" she replied, her voice betraying none of the anxiety she felt. She grabbed the test, intending to toss it into the trash, but the sound of the doorbell interrupted her. She quickly slipped it into her purse, resolving to deal with it later.
The drive to the Kelce household was filled with easy conversation and laughter, Travis's presence a comforting balm to her frazzled nerves. He was so attentive, so caring, and the thought of sharing this new development with him filled her with equal parts excitement and fear.
Upon arriving, they were greeted with warm hugs and cheerful smiles. Travis's mom, Donna, was particularly delighted to see them. She was a vibrant woman, full of energy and kindness, and Taylor adored her.
"Come on in, you two! Make yourselves at home," Donna said, ushering them inside. The house was filled with the comforting smells of home-cooked food and the sound of family banter. It was a stark contrast to the glittering, often impersonal world of fame that Taylor navigated daily.
As the evening wore on, Taylor felt herself relaxing, enjoying the familial warmth. She excused herself to freshen up and found herself in the guest bathroom, her purse slung over her shoulder. As she reached for her lip balm, the pregnancy test tumbled out, landing on the pristine countertop with a clatter. Her heart skipped a beat. She quickly picked it up, her hands trembling, and shoved it back into her purse, silently cursing her clumsiness.
Back in the living room, Donna was tidying up, her perpetual motion a testament to her boundless energy. She decided to collect the trash from the guest bathroom, not wanting her guests to worry about anything.
As she emptied the small wastebasket, something caught her eye. It was a white plastic stick, partially hidden beneath some tissues. She picked it up, her breath catching in her throat as she realized what it was. A pregnancy test. Positive.
Donna's mind raced. Could it be Taylor's? She quickly composed herself, placing the test back exactly as she had found it. She didn't want to jump to conclusions or invade their privacy, but her heart swelled with a mix of emotions. If it was Taylor's, then her son was going to be a father. The thought brought tears to her eyes, a mixture of joy and concern.
The evening continued without incident, but Donna couldn't shake the discovery from her mind. She watched Taylor and Travis interact, their easy affection and deep connection evident to anyone who cared to look. She saw the way Travis's eyes lit up when he looked at Taylor, and how Taylor's laughter was always a little brighter when she was with him.
Later that night, after everyone had retired, Donna found herself alone in the kitchen with Taylor. The younger woman was sipping a cup of tea, her eyes thoughtful and distant.
"Taylor, dear," Donna began gently, not wanting to intrude but feeling compelled to offer her support. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"
Taylor looked up, surprised by the serious tone in Donna's voice. "Of course, Donna. Is everything okay?"
Donna took a deep breath, choosing her words carefully. "I... I found something in the bathroom earlier. A pregnancy test."
Taylor's eyes widened, and she felt her heart leap into her throat. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
"I didn't mean to pry," Donna continued quickly. "But if it is yours, I just want you to know that I'm here for you. No matter what."
Taylor felt a rush of emotions—fear, relief, gratitude—all at together. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "It is mine," she admitted softly. "I just found out this morning. I haven't even had a chance to tell Travis yet."
Donna reached out, taking Taylor's hand in hers. "You don't have to do this alone, Taylor. We're family, and we'll support you both every step of the way."
Tears welled up in Taylor's eyes as she squeezed Donna's hand. "Thank you," she whispered. "I was so scared. I didn't know how to tell him."
Donna gave her a reassuring smile. "Travis loves you more than anything. He'll be over the moon. Just be honest with him, and everything will work out."
Later that night, as Taylor lay in bed beside Travis, she couldn't help but feel a surge of hope. She had been given a glimpse of the kind of family she was becoming a part of, one that would stand by her no matter what. With a deep breath, she turned to Travis, ready to share the news that would change their lives forever.
"Travis," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
He turned to her, his expression filled with concern. "What's wrong, babe?"
She took his hand, placing it gently on her stomach. "There's something I need to tell you.""I'm pregnant I found out this morning" Travis's face lit up "I'm gonna be a dad" Taylor responded with enthusiasm "yes trav your gonna be a dad we're gonna be parents" Travis hugged Taylor while spinning her around Travis asked her "who knows" Taylor answers "your mom knows she found the test in my bag and asked me about it"
