Travis led Taylor back inside, his anger barely contained. The room fell silent as they entered, the atmosphere thick with tension. Travis's family looked up, sensing the seriousness of the situation.

"We need to talk," Travis said, his voice commanding and firm.

His family exchanged uneasy glances. "What's going on?" his mother asked, her voice laced with concern.

"You've been treating Taylor poorly," Travis said, his voice rising. "The comments, the coldness—it's unacceptable. She's been nothing but kind and respectful, and you've made her feel like she doesn't belong."

His mother looked shocked. "We didn't realize. We thought we were just making conversation."

"Conversation?" Travis's voice was filled with disbelief. "You've been disrespectful. And now you need to understand the impact of your behavior."

The family members shifted uncomfortably, their guilt becoming apparent. "We're sorry, Travis," Jason said quietly. "We didn't mean to hurt her."

"Sorry isn't enough," Travis said firmly. "You need to understand that Taylor is a part of my life now. If you can't accept her, you're not respecting me."

The family members looked at each other, their expressions reflecting their growing discomfort. They turned to Taylor, their apologies hesitant but sincere. "Taylor, we're truly sorry for how we've treated you today," his mother said. "We didn't realize how much we were hurting you."
