"Marjorie you can come out now!" Reece shouted.
"What in the world Reece I swear—" Marjorie started, stopping at the top of the stairs.
"Surprise!" Reece said, smiling.

Marjorie ran down the stairs, taking in the view. There were presents lined up on the counter, balloons on the floor, and most importantly, Taylor Swift playing faintly in the background.

"Happy birthday gorgeous!" Reece walked over to Marjorie.
"This is incredible! Makes what I did for your birthday look pathetic." Marjorie let out a faint laugh.
"Oh please. You went above and beyond for my birthday, let me do that for you." Reece kissed Marjorie. "By the way, the cake is in the fridge."

Marjorie sat down at the island and watched as Reece picked up the presents and put them in front of her. Marjorie grabbed the first one, a small present with a bow on top.

"Reece," Marjorie started, her jaw dropping. "This is so expensive!"
"I know it is, anything for you." Reece winked.

Marjorie took out the small gold necklace with a diamond heart pendant. Reece grabbed it and put it around Marjorie's neck.

"This is incredible, I don't even know what to say." Marjorie touched the necklace.
"Open the next ones." Reece smiled at her.

Marjorie grabbed the two presents and put them side-by-side. She opened the biggest one first.

"A box? I've always wanted one of these!" Marjorie said.

Reece rolled his eyes. Marjorie opened the box and gasped.

"No you didn't. Tell me you didn't." Marjorie exclaimed, her hands starting to shake.
"Oh I did. You bet your ass I did." Reece smirked.
"We're seeing Taylor Swift???" Marjorie yelled.

Marjorie jumped up and threw her arms around Reece.

"Please tell me you didn't pay those insane resale fees." Marjorie said.
"I didn't. I know a guy who knows a guy and he got me the tickets." Reece laughed.
"God I fucking love you!!!" Marjorie shouted.

She let go of Reece and opened the final present.

"Carly picked the scent out. She helped me pick this one." Reece said, putting his hands in his pockets.
"A candle! I love candles!" Marjorie raised her voice. "It smells wonderful. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Open the cards. I think it's payback." Reece leaned over and kissed Marjorie.

Marjorie opened the first card, titled 'The love of my life'.

Marjorie,

Since the moment you walked into that boardroom, you have had me in a chokehold. The way you carry yourself, the way you talk, the way you speak, everything about you. You are the most stunning woman I've ever laid my eyes on. You are the one thing that I have gotten right in this world. I cannot tell you how much you mean to me. I don't want to get too sappy because I know you are already crying, but you saved my life. I was in a darker place when I met you. Mia's taunting got worse. My dad was tightening his grip on me. You know the whole ordeal. You make me feel so many things. I still get butterflies when someone mentions your name at work. I know I always look to the stars for guidance, but you are my star on earth. The only star I'll look at for the rest of my life.

"What the fuck Reece!!" Marjorie said, sobbing.
"I love you gorgeous." Reece said, wrapping his arms around Marjorie and kissing her head.
"So much for putting my makeup on." Marjorie giggled.
"It's okay. You look good regardless." Reece said, wiping her tears.

Marjorie set the letter down and opened the second one, with her name written on it.

Marjorie,

Still don't want to get too emotional, but fine. Thank you for essentially taking me under your wing. You are always the first to yell at a parent when they make a comment about me. I truly see you as my second mom. Thank you for always being there for me, whether it's taking me to the store, or asking me if I want to stay the night, or if I just need someone to talk to. I hope to find a love like yours and Reeces. I love you.

P.S. I truly hope you aren't bawling right now.

"Wow. I don't know what to say." Marjorie's voice cracking. "Thank you my love."
"Of course darling." Reece kissed the top of Marjorie's head.
"Is this how you felt the other night when you read the cards?" Marjorie laughed.
"Yep. Told you it was payback." Reece smiled.

Reece grabbed the cake out of the fridge and lit the candles. He sung happy birthday, and to Marjorie's surprise, Reece is a wonderful singer.

"Wow Reece. Impressive vocals." Marjorie blew out the candles.
"When I told you that my dad made me do everything in school, I meant it." Reece replied.

Reece cut the cake and handed Marjorie a piece. He grabbed himself a piece and forks.

"And it's confetti!! My favorite!" Marjorie said, taking the fork from him.
"I used so many sprinkles while making it. Like. So many." Reece laughed, taking a bite out of the cake.
"I love your cooking. Did you use the new pans and stuff I bought you?" Marjorie asked.
"Of course I did. They are really nice. Thank you once again for those." Reece smiled.

Marjorie hummed and set her plate down. She took the speaker that was sitting behind her and turned the music up. She grabbed Reeces plate out of his hand and dragged him over to the living room.

"Thank you for today. I feel so special." Marjorie said, swaying her hips.
"Of course, anything for you gorgeous. I would give the world to you if I could." Reece said, putting his hands on her hips and pulling her closer.

Marjorie wrapped her arms around Reeces neck, looking up at him. Reece leaned down and kissed her tenderly.

"I'm surprised you haven't covered me in frosting yet." Marjorie blushed slightly.
"Did you think I forgot about that? I wanted to have a cute moment slow dancing with you and then it's game on." Reece smirked.

Reece let go of Marjorie and went back into the kitchen, taking a huge heaping of frosting in his hand. He walked back into the kitchen and met Marjorie. He wiped the frosting all over her face.

"Reece." Marjorie rolled her eyes.

Reece hummed as he licked the frosting off of Marjorie's face.

"You taste so sweet." Reece said, kissing her.
"Yeah. You won't be saying that in a second." Marjorie smirked, running into the kitchen to get Reece back.
