The two girls slowly made their way back to the cabin, Veronica stopped, tugging Natalie's hand.
"Nat, can we keep this on the down low for right now? Just until I figure shit out and the nerve to tell everyone?"
Natalie smiled, "Yeah, whatever you need. We also don't need to rush this. We can take it slow and easy,"
Veronica smiled, "Thanks, Nat," she says before they made their way inside.

Veronica had been hiding her relationship with Natalie over the course of the last few weeks, but she heard whispers, she knew people were getting suspicious.
Van and Taissa had straight up approached her, but she denied.
However, Veronica knew it was only a matter of time before everyone found out, so Veronica knew she would have to come clean at some point soon.

Veronica was getting better at ignoring her parents opinions and the other thoughts that lingered in her head.
Natalie was a good distraction.
Veronica still felt herself hesitating slightly, but with Natalie it was easy for her to begin to let lose and feel more comfortable with her sexuality.

Veronica and Natalie were sitting in the plane, Veronica was on her lap, the two making out.
Veronica's hands made their way to Natalie's side, making the blonde giggle.
"I'm- I'm sorry. It just, it tickles,"
Veronica smiles, "No need to apologize, doll," Veronica connected their lips again, Natalie moved her hips, gently going to move Veronica to the floor, but the brunette's head hit a piece of a broken tray table.

"I think maybe the universe is trying to tell us something," Veronica smiles as she sits up, sitting across from Natalie.
Natalie raises a brow, "You think the universe is trying to cock Block us?"
Veronica covers her face "Ugh, don't say it like that! It makes it weird," she giggles
Natalie smiles before she tilts her head, "This is all... Okay with you, right? We aren't going too fast out of your comfort zone?"
Veronica shakes her head, "No, not too fast at all. I really like you Nat, and I'm sorry I freaked out so bad when it first happened,"
"And I'm going to keep telling you to stop apologizing. Figuring out sexuality, especially in the situation we're in is kinda a pain in the ass, especially when you come from a family like yours. No offence,"
"None taken," Veronica looked around, "Should we go back?"

Natalie climbed onto the girls lap, giving her the look that always made Veronica melt.
She tilts her head, giving Veronica doe eyes, "I don't wanna go back yet, do you?"
Veronica shakes her head, pulling her into another kiss with a smile.

The two walked hand and hand, dropping it when the cabin came into view. Natalie looked at her with a smile, then they made their way, stepping in front, everyone already outside.
"Empty handed again?" Akilah asks, the girls nod.
"Are you sure you two are actually hunting out there?" Mari asks.
"What the hell is that suppose to mean?" Veronica asks.
"Just saying, you two have been sneaking off alone in the middle of the night, taking extra long when hunting, and looking at each other all lovey dovely," Mari looks at the girl, Veronica tried her best to mask the panic that was running through her head.

Natalie opened her mouth to speak, but she was interrupted by Jackie.
"is this why we don't have any food?" Jackie snaps. "Because you've been too busy running for mayor of pound town?"
"Wow, Jackie-"
"Uh, go fuck yourself?" Natalie replies.
"I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Nat's always down for a good time, right?"
"I can't magically conjure a deer, Jackie. But keep talking shit and I'll find something to shoot"
"Oh wow, you're so tough. I'm not scared of you, Burnout,"
"No. You're jealous. Cause you're an uptight, prudish little bitch!"
"Hey!" Taissa yells, pushing Natalie roughly from Jackie. "Knock it off! Both of you!"

Jackie turns around, flipping Natalie off, with a huff, Natalie storms off.
Veronica went to follow, but she was quickly grabbed by Taissa, who gently dragged her into the cabin.
"Tai-"
"I need to talk to you,"
They made their way into one of the bedrooms, Taissa stood in front of her, her arms crossed over her chest.

"What's been going on with you, Vee?"
"What do you mean?"
"I know things have been stressful, but you've barley talked to me at all over the course of the last couple of weeks. You stormed out of the attic and didn't tell me what was wrong, you always tell me at least what's going on," Taissa looked at the brunette, her eyes filled with curiosity and concern.
"Natalie and I are together," she admits. "I was acting off that day because she kissed me and I was scared. I ran. I had a mini crisis and I just freaked out, Tai. I had a full blown panic attack in the woods and Natalie followed and then we talked, then next thing I knew I was kissing her and-" she paused, taking a break.
"Did you... hurt yourself again, when you were out there?"

Veronica sighs, remembering the day Taissa found out, the only person other than Natalie she had opened up to about it.
"Yeah, I did. But Natalie stopped me before it got too bad,"
Taissa pulled Veronica into a tight hug, Veronica tensed for a moment before wrapping her arms around the girl.
"Thank you for telling me, I promise I won't tell anyone about you and Natalie,"
Veronica pulls away, "Even Van?"
"Even, Van," she assures.
"Good. Because I wanted to be the one to tell her,"

Veronica found her and Natalie in the plane again, the two kissing deeply, Veronica reached to pull Natalie's shirt off, the girl complied, laying down, allowing Veronica to use her hands to explore her girlfriend's body.
Natalie's breath shuddered as her hands lightly grazed over her crotch area.
Veronica connected the two's lips, Natalie gently leading Veronica's hand under her shorts.

Veronica began to gently rub circles over Natalie's underwear, making the blonde moan lightly, moving her hips.
Veronica deepened the kiss, slipping her hand under Natalie's underwear, gently moving her hand.
The two continued until Natalie pulled away, a small laugh escaping her lips.

"I'm sorry," she laughs, "I'm sorry it's just... Your face was so serious,"
Veronica playfully rolls her eyes, removing her hand.
Natalie sits up, bringing one of her knees up, "You know, you're a very good kisser,"
"You're not too bad yourself, Scatorccio," Veronica waited for a minute, before speaking up.
"Can I ask you something? And I mean no offence or anything when I ask"
Natalie nods, "Okay?"
"How many people have you actually...done it with. I know theirs rumors at school, but I never really believed those,"
Natalie tilted her head, pausing for a minute before answering, "I've only been with two guys. Levi Houser sophomore year and this one guy I met at a show last summer. He was older and I was kinda fucked-up and it uh...it wasn't great," she moves closer to Veronica. "And I need you to know, no matter what Jackie says, it really means something. Especially with you, this really means something to be,"

"It means a lot to me too, Nat,"
Natalie paused, "What about you? How many people were lucky enough to score you?"
"Only Danny. There were a few times at parties I almost had a few drunk hookups, but I freaked out before hand,"
Natalie nods, pulling the girl in for another kiss.
Veronica smiles, kissing her back, but pulled away when she saw something move.

Natalie gave the girl a confused look, but it clicked when Veronica grabbed the gun, aiming and shooting the deer.

The two brought the deer back to camp, Veronica tried not to cringe at how gnarly the antlers looked. Once, Van pointed out as soon as she saw it.
"It's like Freddy Kruger and Bambi had a baby" Akilah cringes.
"I'm not eating that," Javi looks down at it in disgust.
"Guys, relax. Deer's shed their antlers every season. This is normal. Shauna, do the honors?"
Shauna pulls the bag off her shoulder, pulling out the hunting knife.
Veronica has to turn around to avoid throwing up as Shauna sliced the deer open, magots practically falling out the the corpse.
"Is that normal too, Coach?" Jackie snaps.

Taissa paces, "We cannot keep fucking doing this, you guys. What happens when winter gets here? We fucking starve to death or freeze? We can't count on getting rescued anymore. All of us know that's not going to happen. We have to save us. That's why I'm going to go find help. I'm leaving in the morning. Come with me if you want to get out of this fucking hellhole."

Veronica watched as her best friend storms inside the cabin, a feeling of dread settled in her stomach.
Veronica was scared that, that feeling would never leave.
