Rise of the Moons

Day before new moon

The pack ran all through the desert as day turned to night. 

“Why didn't we bring the mechs?” Kai groans as Cole and Zane keep their pace ahead of him and Jay 

“Can't we break?” 

“No!” 

“But we've been running for hours!” Kai whimpers and Cole finally stops. 

“Oh thank, lycan.” Kai watches Jay fall down into the cold sand. 

“God, why is it so hard to go this far on paws?” Jay mutters and Cole stares at a scene. Zane's ears fall as Cole runs in. The wolf stares at the red liquid and feels his paws quaking. 

“I swear his scent lead-” Cole turns to Zane, who then comes up. 

“Maybe it's a falsely done scheme?” Kai soon then comes forth and snarls as he sees a blonde. 

“YOU!” 

Jay glanced at the blonde and Cole saw his eyes turn bright yellow. 

“I DIDN'T DO THIS!” Lloyd screams as the wolves all come towards him. Kai's mouth is fuming, Jay's body starts to spark, and even Zane's claws are getting ready to make contact with the ground. Cole stares at the kid curling up and clenching his eyes. He then noticed the blood running down his face, and different wounds that leaked from almost every part of him. 

“Who did it?” All the wolves looked at Cole. 

“The vampires, they took my dad, Wu, and then spread all this blood around.. .they said it was to destroy me.” Lloyd lowered his bloody head and Cole huffs. 

“Is that the truth, because if not I will not hesitate, kid.” Lloyd looks at the other wolves. 

“Better be the truth.” Kai's yellow eyes locked on him. Lloyd looked up at Cole's yellow eyes and suddenly they all watched as the blonde's green eyes became all puffy. 

“It's true.” Cole nods and he scoops up the child. 

“What are you doing?!” Cole carries the child out of the blood-soaked sand. 

“Giving mercy, Kai.” Lloyd lifts a brow as Zane calmy rolls himself in sand. 

“Zane, what the fuck are you doing?” 

“Getting the venom off, Ronin mentioned it can hurt us.” Kai immediately went and joined him, wiping his paws in the sand along with Jay. Cole soon soons too, and Lloyd watches them and then slumps as his eyes begin blurring. 

“Is it all off?” Cole asked his team and they all nodded as Zane summoned ice. 

“Melt it Kai.” Kai nods as Cole turns to see Lloyd face down in the sand. 

“Should we leave him here?” Kai asks as Jay washed his paws in the warm water. 

“Wu, wouldn't want us to.” Zane says and he freezes the ground by Lloyd. 

“Uhh.” 

“Kai, help me get the venom off him.” Cole watches his teammates and turns to Jay. 

“Think you can howl for Nya?” Jay's head to his ears turned red, and he quickly glances at the way they came. 

“That's far.” 

“Wolves especially without trees can howl and be heard from 10 miles away!” Zane says as he and Kai made sure the vampire venom was off Lloyd. 

“Guys be careful he was bleeding.” Cole lowers his ears and looks at the patches on Lloyd's skin.
