You let out a groan as you woke up, a splitting headache that felt like someone was constantly stabbing you in the brain plaguing you, your ears were ringing and your sight was foggy. All in all, you felt terrible.

Just what the hell kind of gas did that robot use on you?

Your sight slowly started to return to normal as time went on. Flowey, though, was still unconscious.

Once your sight was fully back to normal, you saw that you were still in a cage. Your physical knife was taken away as well, but that won't be too much of a concern.

You put your hand out and a red knife materialized in it. You slashed at the bars of your cage... nothing.

They must be made of the same metal as Mettaton if they're THIS durable.

You let out a frustrated grunt, tossing the knife to the floor.

You looked around the room you were in. Clearly a lab of some kind, tiled floors and walls, all of which was a boring, sterile white.

"Damn it, Flowey, now would be a good time to wake up." You muttered to yourself as you continued trying to look for a way to get out, but unfortunately, you didn't see anything. No buttons that you could push, no visible keys anywhere. Absolutely nothing.

You were stuck.

It was then that a door nearby opened and a short, chubby, yellow lizard... thing walked out.

The lizard seemed startled upon seeing you. "O-oh! You're awake!" The lizard said, the voice indicating that it was a girl.

"My name is A-Alphys, scientist and hero equipment engineer." Alphys said, introducing herself. So, she makes hero support items. Might find some useful things in this lab once you escape.

"Ah, you're the one who set that big microwave after me. Can't say I appreciate that." You said said, your tone doing little to hide your irritation.

Your tone definitely made her more nervous.

"O-oh... um... well... you're a villain, it's... kind of my job to help to make sure you're stopped." Alphys said, glancing around the room nervously.

"Right. So why keep me alive? Why capture me and then keep me in a cage? You could've just killed me when you got me unconscious." You stated, crossing your arms over your chest and glancing back at Flowey, he was still asleep.

"That's because... I know what power you possess." Alphys said, causing your eyes to widen. "You have DETERMINATION. The ability to live on after death. To keep going no matter what. If Mettaton or I tried to kill you, you'd just keep coming back." Alphys said before she looked down onto the floor, her hands trembling.

"A... friend of mine had that power, too. Though not to this degree." Alphys began, you could see tears slowly fill her eyes but she blinked them away.

"Undyne." Alphys said, it definitely surprised you.

You let out a chuckle, a chuckle that slowly progressed into full-blown laughter. "Undyne? You're kidding me! All of this because I killed your fish girlfriend? You're more pathetic than I thought!" You mocked, not even trying to contain your laughter.

Alphys winced at your words, her hands squeezing into fists as her anger slowly started to get the better of her. It seems that she doesn't appreciate you insulting Undyne.

"Undyne was one of the best people I ever met... She was kind, just, DETERMINED to save as many lives as she possibly could." Alphys began, the tears she tried blinking away slowly starting to overwhelm her, the tears ran down her cheeks.

"When she told me she would try to find you and fight you... I tried to stop her." Alphys said, her voice shaky. "But she wouldn't listen to me. So, I made her promise that she would let me watch and record the fight. So that... if anything happened, all of hero society would know who you are." Alphys said, revealing that it was her idea to reveal your identity to the public if Undyne lost the fight.

You sneered, your eyes narrowing at her. "Well, your plan backfired. I'm still alive and your little reveal only made the world fear me more." You said, walking up to the bars of your cage.

Alphys steeled herself not to flinch as you got closer. "I disagree. Even if the civillians fear you, there doesn't exist a hero in this world that doesn't know what you look like. You won't be safe anywhere in this world, so long as you live. Anywhere you go, a hero will find you." Alphys said, but she didn't seem certain about what she was saying. "But... you'll just kill them all, won't you? Anyone who gets in the way of whatever it is that your sick twisted mind planned out." Alphys said.

"That's why you're here. If I can keep you locked up here, in an invincible cage, forever, you won't be able to harm anyone. You're stuck here. And nothing you do can change that." Alphys said, slowly gaining confidence as she spoke.

"Mettaton hoped to fight against you one more time, but I forbade it. You're too dangerous to fight." Alphys said, taking a step closer to the cage instead of trying to back away.

"So, nothing will help you free yourself. You'll be locked in that cage, forever. Under constant, 24/7 surveillance. And should you SOMEHOW manage to escape, my original plan still stands. There HAS to be a hero out there who can put you down permanently. But I'll only rely on that assumption if I have no other choice." Alphys said, taking one more step forward.

You could barely contain a smirk as you watched her come closer. This was perfect. She's unknowingly helping you escape just with this delusional monologue that she's having.

"S-so...! That's why I'll just keep you here. For as long as I ca-" she was interrupted.

You materialized the red knife in your hand once again, and the moment she got close enough...
