In a world of Heroes and Villains, what will happen when someone with power beyond both of them, with less than benevolent goals, appears? What will happen when the Heroes find a threat that none of them can stop? A threat so great, even the most vi...
"you know, i've known about your power for a long time. your ability to reset everything."
He sent more bones your way.
You could tell that this fight was going to last, but there's no way that he is the final enemy. He's just buying time.
You could tell that you were going to have a bad time.
You, thankfully managed to dodge the bones and launched yourself forward to slash at him again.
He dodged.
"that power has given me a lot to think about."
He tossed you around the room, his left eye glowing blue as your back and sides hit various walls and ceiling.
Eventually, he put you down.
"if someone out there can just return everything people have worked for to zero, what's the point of doing anything?"
His attacks continued.
Just like Sans, you can't keep dodging around forever, either. You need to find a way to end this.
But then you remembered something Papyrus told you, Sans is lazy. He probably doesn't have good stamina, which means, if you attack him enough, force him to MOVE enough, he'll grow tired.
If he gets tired, he'll get sloppy. He'll miss his chance to dodge your slashes.
"your power, just by existing, was enough to not make me care about anything anymore."
Gaster Blasters encircled you once again, all of them pointed directly at you. By jumping up into the air, you dodged.
"after all, if at any point, you can just erase everything, why should i bother doing anything?"
You decided not to give him a chance to attack you again.
You launched yourself towards him, sending a barrage of slashes his way, forcing him to dodge dozens of attacks at once. If you keep at it, he has to grow tired eventually. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.
"well, i can't afford not to care about this."
Using his weird telekinesis, he sent you flying back into a wall, but, by stabbing your knife into the floor, you kept yourself from flying all the way back.
"just how many times have you returned things to the beginning? none? once? countless? regardless, i know that i can't kill you. not permanently, anyway. so, my best bet is to simply keep killing you over and over again, until you just give up on trying to come back."
So, he has the same plan as Gaster. That makes sense for anyone who knows about your power. It's basically the only plausible way to stop you. Keep killing you until you get sick of coming back and just reset everything.
It wasn't a bad plan, hell, it was probably the only plan, but it's unreliable. After all, when DETERMINATION is involved, giving up tends to be the last option.
"so, if you hadn't learned when to give up by now, it might be for the best for you to learn soon, or else i may be forced to use... my special attack."
Your eyes widened at the mention of a special attack, just how many things is this guy hiding in his arsenal? You need to end this quickly. You can't afford to let him use whatever attack he has planned.
You launched yourself forward, sending yet another barrage of slashes. You had no intentions of giving him even a single moment of rest.
"you uh... really like swinging that thing around, huh?" He asked while dodging literally every single one of your attacks, one after the other.
How is it possible that someone so lazy is capable of dodging someone of your speed? You'd be impressed if you weren't so annoyed by it.
In an effort to get you away from him, he made a Gaster Blaster appear right next to you, forcing you to jump back in order to avoid it.
But you quickly went straight back in, continuing to slash wildly at him in an attempt to keep him too occupied to fight back.
He pushed you back again.
"alrighty, kid. survive this, and i'll show you my special attack."
What happened next could only be described as complete and utter chaos. Bones flew everywhere, Gaster Blasters shot at basically anything. And, in the end, you were completely surrounded by blue bones. Completely unable to move.
Sans huffed, completely exhaused by his last attack.
"alright, then, kid... are you ready? it's time for my special attack."
About half a minute passed... nothing.
"yep. it's nothing. and it's never going to be anything, either. you see, if you can attack me, you'll always at least have a chance of winning, so, you're not going to have that chance. you and i are going stay here, stuck forever."
You felt anger bubbling within you, this is the third time you've been caught like this. Once by Papyrus, once by Alphys, and now this guy, too.
Unfortunately for him, he was starting to fall asleep.
Slowly... his eyes closed.
And then, you heard snoring.
Chara's SOUL emerged from your chest and passed through the gaps in between the blue bones.
Suddenly, for a split second, Chara's silhouette appeared and slashed at Sans.
He dodged only to be slashed again.
The blue bones disappeared and the SOUL returned to your chest.
Sans fell to his knees.
"ah... welp, at least i got that talking flower some time. whatever he has planned, he is our only hope."
Sans proceeded to turn to dust.
