Your father's mangled corpse layed before you. A terrified look frozen onto his face. What occured below the neck is best left undescribed. You made his death even more painful than Alphys', you even went overboard with his corpse long after he was already dead.
But now, despite it being time to continue, you felt like you should speak to Chara. You didn't know what it was, but something within you compelled you to speak to her. Seeing as Flowey has nowhere to run, a little break couldn't hurt.
You slowly closed your eyes and once you opened them, you were back in a familiar void, with a familiar presence behind you.
"Greetings." She said simply.
You turned around to face her, but before you could say anything, she spoke again.
"So, you finally got justice for your past. I'm glad." She said, taking in a deep breath before sitting down, pointing for you to sit down in front of her.
You complied.
"The two of us are very similar. In many aspects." She began, looking into your eyes.
"When I was alive... I, too, lived in an abusive household. My father would beat me, for every little mistake. My mother would try to protect me, but even she couldn't do much. She was weak, compared to my father." She said, looking down at her hands.
"I hated my father. I hated humanity for allowing such people to roam free without punishment." She said, you could feel anger rising in her voice as she spoke. You gently placed your hand over hers, you could feel her calm down at least a little bit because of it.
"I went down the same path as you. In an effort to grow stronger, I started hurting those around me. Physically, mentally, it didn't matter. Whatever made me stronger, couldn't be bad." She said, looking back up to see your face.
"My goal was to eradicate humanity. To kill my father for everything he has done to me. But... I would never get this far." She said, she was calm now, not letting her anger influence the way she spoke, even if you could still feel that the anger is present.
"The man you fought, Gaster, he found me before I was strong enough to face him. He killed me and captured my SOUL. Which he proceeded to use in his disgusting experiments. Using MY DETERMINATION to turn innocent, sick people into those amalgamations. I... I was technically alive during all of that. So long as my SOUL remained, I could feel what he was doing with my DETERMINATION. Eventually, he drained my SOUL dry, and it was THEN that I was truly dead." She explained, you couldn't even imagine how horrible that must've been. To feel, to KNOW that your DETERMINATION is being used in such a horrific way.
Just like Alphys used YOUR DETERMINATION for her experiments.
"I failed in my goal, but... through you, I feel that my goal can finally be accomplished. Through killing your father, I felt like I got some justice as well. And... when you deal with Flowey, we will finally finish what we set out to do. We can eradicate the disease that is humanity. So long as humanity exists, so will evil. Humanity will never improve. Everything it does, everything it touches, it all ends the same. With slaughter, destruction, hate." She said, you couldn't help but agree with her.
Humanity was awful. Humanity allows for evil to exist. People can claim that there is justice in the world, yet evil people get away with their deeds every day. You're far from good, you know that. But, at least, once your evil deeds are complete, the world will be a better place.
She smiled, like she knew you were agreeing with her without saying it.
"When all of this is over, the world will be free of humanity. The disease will be cured. And all the evil in this world will get what it deserves. Do not trouble yourself with the consequences of your own actions, despite everything, I believe you did what was best." She said, placing a hand on your cheek, softly carresing it with her thumb.
You placed a hand over hers.
"Let's finish this, partner. Let's fix this terrible world, end the bloodshed once and for all." She said.
Your talk with Endeavor reminded you of what a disease humanity truly is. That people like him were allowed not only to walk free, despite his actions, but to thrive and live in luxury, was proof to you that justice will never exist unless you take it into your own hands.
Heroes, villains, they're all the same trash. And you will make sure they are disposed of.
Chara leaned in, placing a kiss on your forehead.
"Let's finish this, partner."
You opened your eyes to find yourself in the Hero Commission building once again.
