Chapter 39 (Time To Heal)

CHAPTER 39

"SEÑORITA."

Awtomatikong tumingin si Erixelle kay Gail nang tinawag siya nito.

"Call me Erixelle, Gail. You don't have to call me that anymore," nakangiting sabi niya.

Mahina itong napabuntong-hininga.

"Okay ka lang ba?" nag-aalalang tanong nito.

Tumingin siya sa paligid. Nasa sarili na siyang condo ngayon. She will stay here for a while.

Napag-usapan nila ni Warren na hindi siya ang maiiwan sa bahay nila. She decided to moved out. Noong una ay gusto ni Warren na siya ang maiiwan sa bahay nila at ito na ang aalis pero hindi siya pumayag.

Marami silang napag-usapan bago sila tuluyang naghiwalay ng landas. It's been almost a week already since they both decided to end everything between them.

Sa ngayon ay kasalukuyan nang naka-proseso ang annulment nilang dalawa ni Warren.

"I'll be lying if I tell you that I am okay, Gail," mahinang sabi niya.

"I am not okay and my heart is torn into pieces. But I know that Warren feels the same, or even he feels the worst. He'll be miserable. He'll feel lonely, so am I. But we cannot save what we have. Our love for each other is breaking us both. He became a monster because of me and it's not good for both of us. I am not okay now but I will be at the right time, Gail. I want to move forward. I want to start anew. I want to be stronger on my own. That way, I could pay him back. I'll become a better person."

Napatitig si Gail sa kaniya. Maluha-luhang tumango ito at niyakap siya.

"I am so proud of you...Erixelle."

Awtomatiko siyang napangiti nang tinawag siya ni Gail sa pangalan niya.

"Will you still stay beside me, Gail?"

Binitawan siya nito at walang pag-aalinlangang tumango.

"Of course, I'll stay beside you. I won't leave you. Hanggang hindi ko nakikitang masaya ka at nasa maayos kang kalagayan ay hinding-hindi ako aalis sa tabi mo. I still have duties to fulfill." Nginitian siya nito.

"Duties to fulfill?" she asked, frowning.

"Your husband gave me a task. Hindi ko iyon pwedeng ipagsawalang-bahala," nakangiting sabi nito.

"Gail, he won't be my husband anymore after a few years," naiiling na sabi niya.

"I am still hoping that you two will meet each other again in the future. Kahit gaano pa iyon katagal, hihintayin ko."

Napatitig siya kay Gail.

"Gail..." anas niya.

"Kaya habang nasa tabi mo ako, bawal kang ma-inlove sa ibang lalaki. I will be your ate and mother from now on."

"What if Warren is the one who'll fall in love to another woman?" she casually asked

But deep inside her, she knew that she can't accept if that happens. Ang isipin pa lamang na mahuhulog si Warren sa ibang babae ay nasasaktan na siya.

"I doubt that. His heart won't fall in love unless it's you. You are like a curse to him, Erixelle. A curse that he can't lift." Makahulugan itong ngumiti.

"Gail, you really are something." Napailing siya.

Hinawakan naman siya nito sa mga kamay.

"How about the child? Aren't you planning to tell him that you're pregnant with his child?" tanong nito.
