" Rose ? Are you free for a chat ?" Teri messaged and paced as she waited for a reply.
Rose had been through something similar , as in coming out to Army and being accepted as taking one of Army's beloved members off the market, if any one could help advise her it would be her .
A minute , then two went by and she found herself nibbling at a quick on the side of one of her nails , a bad habit she had been trying to break for years.
The room was silent , Suga was in his office working with J Hope on something , and she felt ...well she couldn't quite describe how she was feeling.
The day after leaving Bangs office, herself and Suga had hid out for the day , they'd silently decided not to discuss anything important and had taken the day to just be an ordinary couple, they'd eaten breakfast together and did some cardio in the buildings gym. They'd shared a very fun and messy shower together and then spent a few hours on the sofa.
She'd laid with her head on his lap and they'd watched some old run bts episodes together and laughed. He'd given her inside information and secrets from those times and she had never felt closer to him.
She had dozed peacefully as he had wound a strand of her hair between his fingers absentmindedly and had woken when he declared it was dinner time.
To an outsider it may have seemed like a pretty boring day but to Teri, ordinary with her man was heaven.
That night there had been something very tender in their love making , his kisses and touch had made her feel like the most beautiful women in the world and she had cried a little after as she laid in his arms.
Now though it was time to make decisions , she knew she couldn't hide for ever, but she really wanted Rose's take on things .
She respected and loved Rose like a sister, although not much older than her she seemed way more mature.
' Ouch!' She said outloud as she tore at the little loose bit of skin around her thumb and made it bleed.
'Serves you right' she told herself as she sucked on it. ' it's a bad habit anyway '
Just then her phone dinged and it was message from Rose saying she was free and to meet in their favourite coffee shop.
After arranging the time Teri quickly washed and got dressed leaving a note for Suga. She didn't like to disturb him when he was working and she still wasn't sure on some of the other members and what they thought about her.
Teri stood to greet Rose and then gestured towards the iced coffee cup , which Rose took with a grateful sigh .
She watched and waited as Rose took a large mouthful and sighed " long night ?" Teri asked with a sympathetic smile .
Rose nodded " We think Bora Nabi is teething, all night she cried and myself and Rm almost cried along with her " sue gave a little laugh " anyway , enough about me , how are you ? Rm told me everything, I'm so sorry I haven't reached out, just baby has been fretting and well the days have rolled into one lately "
Teri shook her head and smiled " that gorgeous baby of yours comes first, always , and I was quiet yesterday anyway , wasn't really in the mood to socialise so you're all good "
Rose nodded , smiled and said thanks then listened quietly as Teri caught her up with everything that happened and then ultimately the meeting with Bang .
" HA! " exclaimed Rose when she had heard about the accident , using a very popular English saying she said " Karma's a bitch ain't it ?" And even laughed , Teri smiled along with her , she was gradually getting used to Rose's British ways , outspoken, opinionated , passionate. Such a far cry for korean culture but yet so perfect for Rose.
" so ..my question to you is what do I do now ?" She finished and now Rose sat with a serious look on her face .
" does Bang really think you need to tell the world everything ? Can't you find a compromise somewhere? Once paparazzi get hold of something like this the tabloids would be feeding off it for ages ?"
Teri shook her head " I don't know , but he's the boss for a reason , he must know what he's talking about "
Rose made a little noise in the back of her throat and Teri looked up questioningly so Rose clarified " Bang is not God , and he doesn't always get it right, but he does have a sort of point , you can't stay hidden in Sugas room forever , at some point you'll want to get married, have kids, get your own house ...they all come at the price of people knowing who you are...and for every 100 people that will love and accept you they'll be 1 who will hate you. You just have to learn to ignore and don't read the hate comments , embrace the positive one and live within the boundaries and rules Hybe have in place as they're there for our benefit, " she looked to 2 tables away at her security, and then to the other side of the seating area to another set of security..Teri's .
She slapped her hand on her head and looked at Rose " omg , I cant believe I forgot, I'm so not used to having people follow me about ." She gave a little giggle and whispered " what if I want to fart , or accidently sneeze a bogie out my nose "
They both laughed as Rose said " you learn to do those things in private where possible, but it's their job to protect , they honestly wouldn't care if you farted "
They giggle some more and then Rose said seriously how are you doing though.. honestly !"
Teri almost replied with I'm fine but suddenly wanted to tell the truth, " I'm a little confused " she said , Rose let her continue " I'm sort of grieving for the father figure that man should or could have been , or even what he was when my mother was around , but I don't feel I can show that infront of Suga because he wouldn't understand ." She paused to take a mouthful of her drink then continued " like I'm not grieving for that man , nor do I feel sorry for him , I'm grieving for the little girl in me that wanted the only daddy she knew to love her " Tears sprung in her eyes and Roae reached out to take her hands .
" did you know ?" Rose started " that Hybe have wellness center's and therapists , honestly make an appointment with one of those , I really think you would benefit from talking to a professional.
" oh Rose , I'm not sure about that , won't Suga think I'm weak ? " but Rose was shaking her head ," Suga would understand probably more than you know , how helpful talking to someone can be , give them a try "
They finished their coffees and made arrangements ' Bora Nabi permitting ' to meet again next week. Just before they parted Rose said "Teri , you are stronger than you think , talking doesn't make you weak , ask for help when needed . " she smiled and left.
Teri watched as the security stood up also and walked slightly behind Rose as she left .
She looked over at her security detail , should she offer them a coffee of something? She asked herself, but then noticed they had drinks , so after catching one of their eyes she left , knowing they would follow her.
She had a lot to think about but she was slightly more clearer on her path than she had been before talking to Rose.
It was time to put on her big girl pants and claim Suga as her own. He said he loved her , sorry Army .
