It was quiet in CC's house, the faint sound of the movie playing in the living room. Izzy was cuddled up with CC, her leg draped over CC's lap.Izzy had been focused on the movie when she started feeling light kisses on her cheek. Izzy chuckled, wrapping an arm around her girlfriend's waist. "What's up with you?"
CC didn't answer with words. Instead, she closed the distance between them, capturing Izzy's lips in a heated kiss. Izzy was taken by surprise, but kissed back, matching the intensity with CC, running her hand through her hair.
The intensity of their kiss grew, and before they knew it, they were lying on the couch, Izzy's hand just underneath CC's shirt, touching the smooth skin of her waist as the shorter girl lay on top of her.
CC's lips trailed down to Izzy's neck, and she sucked gently on the sensitive skin, eliciting a soft moan from Izzy.
"You two had sex?!" Maya exclaimed, stepping in between her two friends and looking at Izzy almost in betrayal. As far as she remembered, Izzy had promised to tell her if she was no longer a virgin.
Izzy shushed her, her cheeks going red. "Can you be any louder?" she asked sarcastically. "No, me and CC didn't have sex."
"Then what was that about?" Maya asked, overhearing the story Izzy was telling Olivia.
Izzy sighed, her blush deepening. "I was just explaining to Liv how I ended up with a hickey," she said, turning her head to expose the poorly hidden hickey.
Maya raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on her lips. "Oh, I see," she teased. "So, CC got a little carried away, huh?"
Izzy rolled her eyes, trying to suppress a smile. "You could say that." She was glad she and CC had discussed their boundaries. There were certain areas Izzy didn't want any hands on (at least not yet), fearing it might trigger memories of a certain night and ruin the mood. She was grateful that CC was so understanding.
"Are guys saving that for Valentine's Day?" Olivia wiggled her eyebrows, knowing Valentine's Day was tomorrow.
Izzy scoffed out a laugh, shaking her head. "We're not saving it for anything. We're just taking things one step at a time."
"Whatever you say," Olivia teased, nudging Izzy playfully.
Izzy just rolled her eyes. "Anyway, let's get back to class before we get in trouble." She motioned for Maya and Olivia to follow her.

"Why did I know one day you'd show up with flowers?" Izzy stood on the empty soccer field, her breath visible in the crisp Valentine's Day air. The sun was just starting to set, casting a warm glow over the field. She watched with a mixture of amusement and anticipation as CC walked towards her, holding a bouquet of flowers wrapped in a simple ribbon.
CC, dressed in her soccer uniform, smiled mischievously. "Because you know me too well," she replied, her tone light and playful. "I figured it was the perfect way to combine my two favorite things: soccer and you."
Izzy raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "I should've known you'd find a way to make Valentine's Day about soccer."
CC stopped a few feet away from Izzy, holding out the flowers. "Happy Valentine's Day," she said with a grin.
Izzy took the flowers, her eyes softening as she looked at the bouquet. "They're beautiful."
CC's smile widened as she stepped closer, reaching out to gently touch Izzy's hand. "I'm glad you think so. How about we celebrate with a little kickaround? Just you and me."
Izzy's eyes sparkled with delight. "Sounds perfect."
As they moved to the center of the field, the setting sun painted the sky with shades of pink and orange. The flowers lay on the sidelines as they started their playful game, laughter and love filling the air.
Izzy and CC jogged to the center of the soccer field, their laughter echoing.
CC took a playful swipe at the ball, and Izzy danced out of the way with a smirk. "Careful," Izzy teased.
Izzy's movements were fluid, and she made a dramatic show of trying to dodge CC's advances.
CC, with her eyes fixed on Izzy, dribbled the ball with impressive agility, occasionally stopping to tease Izzy with a wink or a comment.
"You're getting better," Izzy teased, her voice warm and full of affection as she approached CC. "I might have to take you on as my training partner."
CC feigned a dramatic sigh. "Oh, so now you're recruiting me?"
"Absolutely," Izzy replied with a grin, a bit breathless from all the running she did. She tapped the ball towards CC, who deftly redirected it with a flick of her foot. She approached the shorter girl, pulling her into a kiss.
CC wrapped her arms around her waist, pulling her closer until their bodies were pressed together. The kiss deepened, slow and unhurried, as if they had all the time in the world.
The quiet soccer field around them only amplified intimacy of the moment, the cool breeze brushing against their skin, the light drizzle of rain falling on them.
Izzy's fringes traced CC's jaw, her heart racing.
Izzy and CC sat on the trunk of Izzy's car, their faces flushed and sweat-soaked from their game. The late afternoon sun is completely gone, the stars in exchange for that.
CC had packed a picnic basket full of sandwiches, fruit, and drinks. She pulled out a couple of sandwiches and handed one to Izzy, who gratefully accepted it. They ate with hearty appetites, occasionally stealing glances at each other and laughing about their earlier antics on the field.
"Not bad for a post-game picnic, huh?" Izzy said, taking a bite of her sandwich. Her smile was wide and genuine, reflecting the joy of the day.
CC nodded, taking a sip of her drink. "Definitely worth the sweat," she said with a grin. "And you played really well out there."
Izzy blushed slightly, her cheeks still red from exertion. "Thanks. You weren't too shabby yourself."
They continued to chat and eat, the casual comfort of the moment settling around them. CC nudged Izzy playfully with her shoulder, causing Izzy to spill a bit of her drink. They both laughed, the sound mingling with the distant hum of the evening.
After finishing their meal, CC leaned back, stretching out on the back window. Izzy followed suit, lying beside her, their shoulders brushing. They looked up at the sky, connecting whatever shapes the stars made.
