You reach the group, and can hear Parker crying in the car. When he couldn't stop crying or was too loud he had to be inside the car to not attract some unwanted attention. You hurry over, still limping. Opening the door you see Mia trying to comfort Parker, holding him.

"Mom!" He cries and you immediately climb in and embrace them.

"Hey, shh, it's okay, baby. I'm okay. You're okay. I'm here." You hold the crying and shivering boy.

You give Mia a quick kiss on the cheek before she gets out of the car. The others walk past the car and see Parker's state, shivering and sobbing, clutching to you. They go to Ethan who stand with Jason and Doug.

"We're going hunting." He tells them.

"Alright, what weapons you got?" Jake asks, rubbing his hands together, excited to hunt.

"I'm just taking Doug and Jason. But I need you to do something else."

"Alright, what can we do?" Foster asks.

"Fish. And as soon as you get the first one, feed my children." He looks at them with a pleading look.

"Of course." Edward says, reassuring him and squeeze his shoulder.

"Dad!" Mia says and runs to him. "Can I please come hunt with you?"

"Not this time. I need you to watch out for Mom and Parker, okay?"

She pouts slightly, her shoulders slumping. "Okay."

He leans down to kiss her forehead. "Thank you." She grab his face before he can lean back up and pulls him down to kiss his forehead too. "Love you, peach."

"Love you, too." She says and skips back to you and Parker.

Jason and Ethan leave to hunt. The team approaches the ones in your group that's preparing to secure the camp area.

"Where do you need my guys?" Foster asks them.

"It's better if we just secure the area like we do when Ethan and Jason aren't here. Can you guys go start fishing? We only got spears now or arrows. Lost the fishing rod last time." Harry tells them.

They nod and take the spears. Your group, except you and Molly, take the vehicles to secure the area while you head toward the lake. You take Mia and Parker to go to the bathroom in the forest before reaching the campsite, Molly goes with Ethan's old team.

...

(I haven't come up with a dialogue here, but as they're walking to the water and Yn and the kids aren't there, I want Gabriel and Lenny to bicker about something about Ethan and Yn, and Molly gets angry at them. Just not sure what they say yet, but start from when Molly explodes on them.)

"Hey! Show some respect." Molly tells them. "You have no idea what those two have been through. They didn't ask for any of it. Parker's selfish biological mother killed herself and left him to them. Then two complete strangers were suddenly parents together. Do you realise the kind of responsibility that was thrown at them? Not just to protect him, but to raise him."

"Looks like they're doing fine." Lenny shrugs.

"Yeah, because they're iron-willed and experienced. But you don't know how hard they have worked and how close to death they've been. How many children have you seen out here, huh? I bet it's barely a handful maybe, and those kids have probably been at safe places from the beginning. Yn and Ethan has traveled more than anyone we've ever met."

...

The boys started fishing as soon as they got to the water. But they haven't had any luck. When you arrive at the shore after helping Parker and Mia, you put Parker down on the sand so he can relax on a blanket. You go out in the river and up to Grey.

"May I?" You ask and he gives you the spear. "Thank you."

"We haven't really had any luck, maybe we should go down stream and try?" Grey says.

They watch as you just walk out into the river, deeper and deeper until you're underwater. Then you come back up walking casually, the spear under water as you walk.

"No luck?" Charles asks.

You look at him with a blank expression and then lift the spear, a fish impaled on it. Their eyes widen in surprise. When you reach the shore, Mia takes the fish from the spear and run to the fire. You throw the spear back to Grey, and he catches it.

"Go deeper, the species here swim slower at the bottom." You tell them.

You go to Mia and Parker and start preparing the fish with Mia. Getting to the fire Mia was getting started you help her and begin to prepare the fish. The boys move deeper and start to catch some fish. Once the fish you got is done, you wake Parker and feed him, fighting the tears from how weak his movements are.

The others from the group come with the vehicles and get the camp set up around the bonfire. The team helps with everything they can.

Then you hear someone and turn toward the sound, seeing Jason. He holds something on his shoulder, grinning like an idiot. Then he walks to the side and the other end of the branch on is on Ethan's shoulder. And hanging on the branch is a deer. You gape at the sight. The group cheers excitedly, not having had this much luck and amount of food in a very long time.

You stand up after they gave the deer to the others to prepare and walk up to Ethan. He wraps his arms around you. Then look at you with a relieved smile when he sees Parker eating a fish. You look at Ethan and feel your eyes water. Caressing your head, he leans in and kiss you, then hug you close in comfort as you look at the deer.

...

You decided to save the deer for butchering until tomorrow while you're on the road. Then the smell wouldn't attract anything nearby tonight, even though they checked the area and it was clear. But the predators are evolving and changes their usual travel patterns. Before you and Molly prepare the rest of the fish, you clap your hands to get their attention.

"I'm sorry to break it to you boys, but it's time."

You throw the bag with some soap in it to Jason. Some groan and some laugh as they all immediately stand up to undress.

"Am I to take a hint from you giving me the soap?" Jason asks and you chuckle.

The boys all undress till their underwear. You help Parker while Ethan undress.

Parker shakes his hand and try to stop you. "You okay to undress yourself?"

He pouts, shaking his head again, hugging himself as he glances at the water. You sigh and caress his head.

"It's gonna be okay. You don't need to go past the shallow water."

He's still hesitant but you carefully force him by starting to undress him and he doesn't fight you. Once only in his boxers, he hugs himself. You stroke his upper arms to give him some warmth. You try not to look at his thin frame and very visible ribs to avoid getting teary eyes in front of him. Kissing his head, you stand up and Ethan takes his son's hand. Around them all the guys has moved to the water and dived in.

You and Molly get the fish ready. The other girls go to stand on watch out for danger, taking over for the boys so they can wash. Ethan walks with his son toward the water slowly, Parker very hesitant.

Parker shivers slightly and refuses to go out. Ethan convinces him to try and get deep enough for his hip to be under. He praises him as he does, then give him the soap bar and help wash his back. Then he washes himself.

Once the boys are done, they take over keeping watch and preparing the fish while the girls get in the water. Mia goes deep enough so she can stand on her toes and she practices to swim between you and Molly while you wash. Then you have to make her wash too, helping her with her hair. Getting back up, the food is soon ready and it's starting to get dark.
