They eventually reach Haven and park the trucks after getting through the guarded gates. Parker had fallen asleep on the way and he hadn't slept well the last few days so he puts him down on a blanket in the truck to sleep until you arrive. Jackson go to the nearest guard greeting them.

"Go get Yn." He tells him. The guard frowns as he notices the new person among them.

"Yn is working the field today." He answers Jackson, gesturing toward the giant field beside them.

Ethan looks in that direction. The grain was at hip height. He sees a few people standing here and there all over the field. As he slowly steps toward it, he starts whistling the bird noise he does to call for you and Parker.

You were bent down working on the ground with Mia, when you suddenly freeze. Your heartbeat quickens rapidly. When you hear the noise again you slowly stand up. Everyone on the field and around pull their attention toward the stranger in confusion and curiosity.

Then Ethan sees one figure in the distance slowly standing up from between the grain. The figure turn toward him. You look toward where the truck has arrived and your eyes land on one specific figure in the distance, who's looking this way expectantly. Taking a breath, you make the bird noise to confirm. Ethan shakily breathes out in immense relief and almost struggle to whistle the noise in confirmation.

You gasp and immediately take off running to him. Everyone looks at you running through the field. Ethan is looking at you, walking in your direction as you run to get out of the field and when you get to the edge and out, he also reaches you. You jump into his arms. His strong arms embracing you tightly as he holds you up.

You pull back, but only to crash your lips on his, the kiss is passionately long. When you eventually pull back to catch your breath, you look at him in disbelief.

"Ethan." You whisper as you caress his face lovingly.

You hear a small voice and your face fade to disbelief again. "Mommy?"

You slowly look past Ethan while he lets you back down on your feet, and see your son. With a sob, you run to Parker, falling to your knees when he meets you halfway.

"Oh, my baby." You hug him tightly as if he would disappear. Holding your son again for the first time in six months feels almost unbelievable.

Everyone starts clapping and cheering when they realise who they are to you. Sniffling, you stand up with the happy and relieved crying child in your arms. You turn back to Ethan approaching to hug you both. He gives you a soft kiss, then kiss Parker's head.

You look past your family and see the Knox. "I told you." You sniffle in a chuckle.

He smiles. "You did. I'm happy for you. And I'm sorry I doubted him." He says, looking at Ethan with earned respect.

Ethan then has to meet with Knox and the other people in charge at Haven. You argue for him to get a few days. Ethan says he's fine with getting it over with anyway, but he just wants to talk a bit with you first.

You reassure him that this place is safe and worth it. He still wants to get a feel for the place before he revealed everything. But trusting you, he does tell them about what he has seen on the journey, just not everything right now, he shows them his map and some of his notes.

They're all very impressed with him and thank him for being so cooperative and generous with his knowledge.

"Yn spoke very highly about this place. I trust her judgment." He tells them. "And I want to thank you, for keeping her safe. I heard she was quite the hassle." He chuckles. You told him about your escape attempts before he went in. They laugh while nodding in confirmation.

About leaving to get back to your family, yeah you had been, but other than that they loved you and appreciated everything you contributed with. They tell Ethan he can have a few days to just spend with you and Parker before they will discuss what he will start working with.

When he gets back he finds you smiling lovingly as you listen to your son talk enthusiastically. Parker is sitting on your lap as close as possible, not wanting any space to risk losing you again. He leans on a pillar and just watch you for a while, enjoying the view.

When he comes to sit down beside you, you caress his face and kiss him. Then look at him and Parker. "Thank you for coming for me."

Parker hug and snuggles his face into you. "I missed you, mom."

"Not as much as I've missed you two. I'm sorry I was gone."

"Not your fault." He mumbles as he fiddles with your necklace.

"But we are never separating like that ever again." Ethan says.

"Never." Parker hug you tightly.

"Never. If I go out, we all go out." You confirm and Ethan smiles with a nod.

Ethan would have to go alone for work of course, but he was not gonna let you go alone like you did last time. Never wanting to risk getting separated like that again.

...

You bring them to the room you have lived in. You open the door and Parker walk in. He puts his backpack down and start looking around. You just look at him from the door, then Ethan wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you close. Wrapping your arms around his neck you look at him. He enjoys the feeling of holding you again for a moment.

"You have no idea how much I've missed you. It's hard without you." He whispers to you.

"I think you've done amazing."

Smiling, he leans in to kiss you. He pulls your face closer as he tilts his head to deepen the kiss, letting his love and longing for you spill over.

When Parker pulls something out from his backpack, the plane toy falls out and the noise of it landing on the floor turn your attention away from the kiss. Ethan pull away with a sigh and you both turn to Parker who is still digging in his backpack, unaware of the heated moment the two of you shared.

Finding the teddy, he pulls it out and stand up with it, holding it to show you.

"Oh, my.. that guy needs a shower, don't you think?" You ask as you take the dirty teddy to examine it.

"He need surgery too." Parker tells you and show you the parts that has been ripped.

When it's late and time to sleep Ethan lays down on your bed with a deep tired sigh. Parker climbs in and snuggles into him. Ethan hold his arm open for you to get in too. You look down at them waiting for you. Then you crawl into Ethan's arms and hug Parker close as he wraps his arm around both of you.

"Home." Parker mumbles before falling asleep instantly.

You smile as you comb your fingers through his hair. Then you look at Ethan, finding his eyes already on you. A tear shed down his cheek and you reach your hand up to wipe it, then caress his face. Leaning closer, you give him his good night kiss. Then fall asleep, warm and content.
