Just a few things I want to mention:
- In my version the zombies are already dying out at this point.
They haven't all died of starvation yet but are going too, they're already getting weaker by it if not already dead.
- People do not turn into zombies when they die.
They have to have been bitten to turn.
- The zombies in my version do not survive in water.
So that's one way they die too, other than dying of starvation.
Some zombies are just unmoving at this point from their idiocy when just roaming mindlessly around, falling off places and damaging their bodies but not the head. Therefore still 'alive' but not much of a threat.
- I have had a few thoughts of what happens when they meet bad and dangerous people, where they have to escape, also from the time before this next part. But I haven't found a way to write it yet, so for now there's not much details about that. And with them having a child with them, it's been hard to make it work out in my head. In many scenarios, I made it so bad that I didn't find it realistic at all for them to survive. And the whole book is about them being a family, so I'm not just gonna let them die. So I have to come up with some way of how they manage to escape those bad situations.
So, yeah, this book might seem a little too easy to survive with a child, to be realistic for a zombie apocalypse. That's why I decided to mention that the zombies are dying out already and are getting weaker so it's more realistic.
- I'm considering to change the zombie apocalypse in this story to some other kind of apocalypse instead. Not sure what yet, I still want there to be some kind of threat other than catastrophe. I was thinking about the animals going crazy, but I'm not sure.
I might not change it, since I'm thinking the zombies will die out anyway. I'll figure out what to do when I'm writing more on Part Three, I won't change the apocalypse for this next part yet.
