Chapter 31: chaotic skies

Malakas ang kabog ng dibdib ko habang hawak niya ang kamay ko. Cooler led me into the apartment, and every step we took made my chest pound even harder. Malakas pa rin ang buhos ng ulan, at dahil wala nang kuryente, the whole place was enveloped in darkness. Cooler dragged me in the dark with a firm grip on my waist.
Alam kong galit siya. I know he's hurt. And it's all my fault. Yet here I am, dizzy with the emotions swirling inside me since earlier. The lightning bolts from the sky somewhat helped us not to trip on anything.
What did I put myself into? Bakit ko siya niyaya papasok? Bakit ko siya hinalikan? I know I led him into this situation, and I can't take it back.
Tahimik si Cooler, but the closeness of our wet bodies and the relentless rain was not helping at all. Hindi ko alam paano ko naipasok ang susi sa keyhole, considering how much I was shaking-hindi lang dahil nabasa kami ng ulan, but also for other reasons. Pagpihit ko pa lang ng pinto ay maingat na akong naitulak ni Cooler. I just found myself pinned against the door, slamming it shut once we got inside.
I tried to catch my breath, but I had no time. Cooler closed the small space between us in an instant. His hips pressed into mine as he ducked to kiss me. His kiss was punishing, his hands tightening around my face as if he wanted to make sure I couldn't pull away.
He was hurt, I know. And I caused his pain. I closed my eyes, letting myself feel the intensity of his kiss. A tear rolled down my cheek. His teeth sank into my lips before he ran his tongue over them to soothe the sting. Ilang saglit pa, bumagal ang kanyang mga halik, but they were still hungry, as if begging for more.
He stopped kissing me, but his forehead stayed pressed against mine as we both struggled to catch our breath.
"S-sorry," mahinang bulong ko.
His hand gripped my shoulder tightly. "What are you sorry for?"
I sniffled, "I'm sorry, I lied to you."
He hummed, resting his forehead on my shoulder. "I lied too."
Tumaas ang isang kamay ko at hinawakan ang buhok niya. "Nasaktan kita."
"No biggie, I'm used to it," he whispered softly.
That made it worse. It hurt even more. I shouldn't be the one causing him pain, especially when he's already been through so much.
Naramdaman kong mas isiniksik niya ang mukha niya sa leeg ko. I shivered as I felt his hot breath on my skin. Dahil sa ginagawa niya, mas lalo akong nahihirapang huminga. He started feeling the skin of my neck, slowly working his way up to my ear. I shuddered at the contact, and before I knew it, a soft moan escaped my lips.
