Your absence has not taught me how to be alone, it merely has shown that when together we cast a single shadow on the wall.

↑↑↑↑↑Tristian arrived at his base, his aura radiating an unsettling deadliness, as Anoldo trailed behind him with a helpless expression. With a curt snap of his fingers, Tristian commanded the attention of his team. "Eva, I need your top hackers to retrieve the deleted footage from three days ago. I want every byte, every pixel, restored."
His monotone voice sent a shiver through the room. "Savage, activate the elites. I want them on high alert for my wife. I just sent her picture to the system, send her picture, along with Jaden's, to the system. I want them found, now."
Tristian's gaze shifted to Anoldo, his eyes blank, lifeless. "Since you refused to leave me alone, gear up, we're taking a walk downtown." His tone was mild, but his words sent a chill through the air.
Eva frowned, concern etched on her face. "Boss, are you okay?" She had never seen Tristian like this, his hair still damp from a shower, his eyes vacant, his voice devoid of emotion.
Tristian's response was a hollow whisper. "I'll be fine once she proves me wrong." His gaze locked onto Eva's, a cold, empty stare that sent a shiver down her spine. Anoldo's sigh was audible, his eyes flashing with a fierce determination. Whoever had taken Tristian's wife had unleashed a storm, and would soon face the wrath of Tristian's elite team.
Eva's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the picture of the woman on the large screen, her voice barely above a whisper. "Are you sure that's your wife, Tristian?" She looked like she had seen a ghost, her face pale, her eyes fixed on the image.
Tristian's response was a slow shake of his head, his voice laced with a hint of frustration. "Yes, Eva. Don't tell me I've forgotten my own wife."
Eva's breath caught in her throat, her words tumbling out in a rush. "Damn, boss. You're one lucky man. I mean, do you even know who you're holding in your arms?" Her shock was palpable, her eyes darting between Tristian and the picture, as if trying to reconcile the two.
Tristian and Anoldo exchanged confused glances, unsure of Eva's reaction. This was the same reaction Grant and his men had when Tristian revealed Scarlett's name - a mix of shock, awe, and disbelief. It was as if they were looking at a ghost, a legend come to life. Surely, they don't know that Scarlett has been reborn right? It's not possible, it might be another thing.
Tristian poured himself a glass of liquor, his eyes narrowing as he asked, "What do you know about my wife?"
Ava's voice was laced with a mix of reverence and trepidation. "She's a legend in the shadows, a master hacker and a retired General. After leaving the military, she took the dark path, rising to lead a powerful mafia. Rumors whisper she's the second-in-command to the King of the Underworld, the puppeteer behind his throne, pulling the strings from the darkness."
Tristian's gaze never wavered, his expression unreadable as he listened to Ava's words. The liquor in his glass seemed to burn with an inner fire, reflecting the turmoil brewing inside him.
Eva's voice dropped to a whisper, her words dripping with a mix of awe and fear. "The Ultimate Black Lords, a name synonymous with terror and respect, is hers to command. Legends say she's built an empire hidden in the darkest recesses, invisible to prying eyes. She's a shadow, omnipresent and omniscient, with eyes and ears everywhere in the underworld."
Eva's breath caught in her throat, her shoulders shuddering as she continued. "That's why the human trafficking rings were reduced to ashes, their screams silenced by her wrath. She's the darkness that haunts the shadows, a silent guardian meting out justice in the blackest corners of the world."
