Diego's gaze fixed on the water droplets sliding down the glass window, his mind consumed by dark and sinister thoughts. His grip on the whiskey glass tightened, the fragile object shattering in his hand. He couldn't wait to exact his revenge on Tristian, recalling the thrill of murdering two innocent girls in the past.

The fact that Tristian's wife shared the same name as his previous victim, Scarlett, only added fuel to his obsession. The memories of Scarlett's screams still echoed in his mind, and he reveled in the power he once held over her.

Diego believed it was his destiny to destroy any woman bearing the name Scarlett, and he took pleasure in the thought of inflicting pain on Tristian's wife. He wanted Tristian to feel the same agony he had endured when his own loved one was taken from him.

With a twisted sense of purpose, Diego set his sights on his next victim, eager to unleash his wrath upon Scarlett and claim another life in his ruthless pursuit of vengeance.

The gentle rain outside created a soothing melody, bringing a sense of serenity to the hospital ward. Tristian and his large family had made themselves at home, exhausted from the emotional events of the day. None of them felt like leaving, and Tristian was reluctant to part with his eight children, grateful to have them all safe and sound.

The girl who had gone to great lengths to find him now lay sprawled out on a couch, flanked by her twin brothers. The babies occupied the second bed in the ward, sleeping peacefully. The VVIP ward was spacious, accommodating both families with ease. Six beds and adjustable couches, as well as makeshift beds, ensured everyone's comfort.

In this tranquil atmosphere, the family's weary eyes remained closed, recharging for the challenges ahead. Tristian's protective instincts remained on high alert, but for now, he allowed himself to rest, surrounded by the people he loved. The soft rain outside created a sense of calm, a soothing balm for their frazzled nerves.

Tristian stood by the window, lost in thought as he gazed at the raindrops sliding down the glass. His mind wandered to Scarlett, his heart aching with longing. He wondered if she was safe, warm, and fed. The uncertainty was tormenting him, fueling his desire to hold her close and breathe in her sweet scent.

He missed everything about her - her moans, her touch, her laughter, and her caring nature. Her blue-green eyes, which always brought him peace, were etched in his mind. His feelings for her were overwhelming and beyond his control.

Tristian let out a muffled groan, raking a hand through his hair as he sighed, releasing a distressed breath. He felt like he was drowning in his emotions, adrift in a vast ocean without a lifeline. The separation was suffocating him, and he yearned for the day when they would be reunited, ending this unbearable torment.

"You miss her, don't you?" A soft voice asked him, snapping him out of his thoughts, he looked at her with a sigh.

"I do. Very much. She is different from all the women I have met, I'm not saying your mom was bad but Scarlett is a person on a different level," Tristian said as the girl sat beside him.

"I understand. I mean that woman is stronger than any woman I have ever known and I admire her resilient nature," The ten-year-old girl responded with a smile, she truly admired Scarlett, she was a strict but principled woman, a graceful queen who could wither any storm.

"What is your name? Sorry, I didn't ask when you came," Tristian asked but with an immediate apology.

"Trisvic Pearland Zwick, weird right? She thought two names combined were beautiful but everyone calls me Pearland because they don't want to be reminded that I'm their enemy daughter," Pearland said with a chuckle," Tristian was surprised, that name was what Victoria and he planned on giving to their first child who is a girl.
