The corridor of the hospital seem large and small at the same time, he felt like he was suffocating, he paced up and down, still in his bloody robe, the crimson liquid swirling with him as his feet moves in aggravation and anger, the bloodlust overpowering his worrying, the nurses and doctors didn't dare tell him what to do as he looked like he could kill at any given moment. He was so engrossed in his dark thoughts to notice the figure lurking in the distance, watching in in amusement and glee, the carrier in his grip seemed like a lifeline he was desperately holding onto, again who could dare tell him to let go? Maybe, one who was willing to offer his head, no problem then but non of the medical workers were that stupid.
"Dad?" A disbelief voice called out to him causing his head to whip in their direction, his eyes widened in shock when he saw his whole family from both sides walking in his direction, their eyes bulging as they took him in.
"Dad, is that your blood?" Lucas asked, concern etched on his face, as he approached Tristian.
Tristian could only shake his head in denial, unable to speak.
His second son, Cyril, suddenly gasped, "Thank God for that!" The boys rushed towards Tristian, embracing each of his legs without hesitation, disregarding the bloodstains. Tristian was so shocked, he hated how matured his six years old sons were, he didn't know the extent of their maturity till this moment.
This tender moment shattered Tristian's composure. He crumpled to the floor, overcome with emotion, as his sons hugged him tightly. Ricardo and his brothers quickly took the baby carriers from him, allowing Tristian to surrender to his grief.
The boys, too, broke down in tears, having never seen their father so vulnerable before. The heart-wrenching scene unfolded, touching the hearts of everyone present. Nurses, doctors, the Hernandez, and Zwick families - all were moved to tears by Tristian's raw emotion as his shoulders shook in so much pain and heartbreak his enemy laughed quietly, Diego's heart was pounding in excitement as he watched the source of his daughters pain also experiencing hell.
In this moment, Tristian's anguish became a palpable force, transcending boundaries and uniting strangers in shared sorrow and that made Diego scowl but he earned what he wants. Cyril wiped his face as a flash of malice glinted through his green eyes, he pulled his brother of gently, causing everyone to focus on the scene which was about to unfold.
Cyril, look at the man who has nuturd them ever since they were born, he took his face into his tiny hands as he stared at him with an evil glint, "Now listen and listen carefully, father," he said in a very chilly tone, his eyes mirroring his dad's confused ones.
"You are our father first, before a Don," Cyril said, his voice firm but laced with emotion. "But now, you must forget that you're a father and son, forget being a husband, and act like the Don and retired military personnel you are."
Tristian's eyes remained fixed on his son, his expression a mix of shock and determination.
"I want you to give every single man who has dared infiltrate your territory a fate worse than death," Cyril continued, his words dripping with venom. "Killing them will be too easy. Make them wish they were never conceived. Make them regret ever crossing your path, ever thinking of separating the queen from her king."
Cyril's gaze burned with intensity, his voice echoing in the silence. "Make them wish they never knew who you were, Father."
Tristian gulped, his throat constricting as he processed his son's words. The weight of his responsibilities, the fury of his protectiveness, and the steel of his resolve all coalesced into a singular purpose. He would unleash his wrath upon those who dared threaten his family, and they would suffer a fate worse than death.
