Isa's gaze was vacant as he awaited the doctor's update, while Kade's scowl deepened, his dissatisfaction evident. How could Tristian entrust his wife's care to this stranger?

"How is she?" Isa asked, his tone as bleak as his expression.

Kade's eyes narrowed, his lips pressed into a thin line. He fought the urge to lash out, his fists clenched in frustration. But professionalism prevailed. "She'll be fine," he said curtly, turning to re-enter the operating room.

Isa exhaled a relieved sigh as tension melted from his shoulders. Knowing Scarlett would recover brought a sense of peace and comfort.

Ricardo and the others exchanged bewildered glances, unsure if they were dreaming. The scene before them was unimaginable. The familiar ash-colored house stood transformed, its roof entwined by towering trees. Fairy lights bathed the building in a warm glow, illuminating the sparkling swimming pool, its depths visible.

The night air was crisp, with the moon shining brightly overhead. Grey clouds, veiled by darkness, morphed into a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues, casting a mystical ambiance.

Tristian strode towards the dark door, his hand tucked into the pocket of his black pants. His green eyes burned with bloodlust, their intensity unsettling. His minions trailed behind, confusion etched on their faces as their thoughts scrambled to keep pace.

With a swift motion, Tristian retrieved a key from the empty flower pot and unlocked the door. He entered the living room with an air of ownership, his demeanor casual yet commanding.

Inside, five imposing men in black stood tall, their faces chiseled and emotionless. Military-style buzz cuts accentuated their rugged features, exuding an aura of disciplined masculinity.

Ricardo and the others exchanged perplexed glances, unfamiliar with these men. Even Tristian's loyal entourage couldn't place them.

"Boss," one of the men acknowledged with a nod, which Tristian returned as he took a seat, his raised eyebrows a silent demand for explanation.

"Boss, she's the mole," the man replied, his jaw clenched. "She's the mastermind behind the scenes. Her knowledge of Scarlett is too detailed; it's because she's neck-deep in shady dealings."

Tristian's eyebrows shot up. "Bring her in. I want to hear her side of the story."

"Noted," the man replied casually, snapping his fingers to dispatch his minions. They sprang into action, understanding the unspoken command, and headed upstairs to retrieve the person.

Lucio leaned against the green wall, muttering, "What the hell is going on?"

Grant and the others wore confused expressions, their minds racing. Who or what had breached Tristian's territory, triggering his fury at this ungodly hour?

The man's nonchalant "Noted" belied the danger lurking beneath. His finger snap triggered a swift response from his minions, who vanished upstairs to retrieve the unsuspecting target.

Lucio's whispered curse echoed through the tense silence. Grant and the others exchanged uneasy glances, sensing the darkness stirring within Tristian.

Exactly one minute later, footsteps echoed down the golden stairs, unhurried yet purposeful. The group's expectations were shattered as they beheld the captive.

Their jaws dropped, hitting the sleek, transparent floor. Shockwaves rippled through their minds: How? When? Why?

Disbelief gripped them. They had overlooked the obvious. For the first time in their lives, they felt utterly useless.
