We learn little from our successes, but a lot from our failures.

Tristian descended the stairs, his sons' summons guiding him to the dining table. His gaze remained fixed on his phone, his mind torn between reaching out to his wife, Scarlett, and respecting her distance. The ache in his heart intensified, his longing for her overwhelming. He dialed her number, despite the risk of her annoyance, and left a voicemail: "Please talk to me. I'm consumed by regret and worry. I need you back. I love you."

As he ate in silence, his family's sympathetic glances weighed heavily on him. The Hernandez men exchanged knowing looks, concerned about Tristian's well-being. Ricardo, Leonardo, and Lucio were taken aback by their leader's vulnerability.

Dante's smirk hinted at his amusement, while Serine attempted to lighten the mood: "She's not dead or divorcing you, calm down!".

Meanwhile, Cole's jested his son-in-law, "I wonder what will happen if she comes back with divorce papers" Cole's comment earned a stern look from Serine.

But Tristian's muttered remark, "I wonder what sleeping on the couch would feel like tonight, old man," his comment about the possibility of Cole sleeping on the couch brought laughter from the others.

Lorenzo, quiet until now, was entertained by the banter. He silently urged Scarlett to return the next day, eager to see his cousin's husband restored to his usual self. Tristian, lost in thought, wandered into Scarlett's bedroom, enveloped by the dark paint, black curtains, and starry ceiling.

A portrait of Scarlett captivated him, her eyes hauntingly familiar. He felt an inexplicable connection as if he had known those eyes for lifetimes. Entranced, Tristian stood there, time suspended, his heart aching for the woman who had left an indelible mark on his soul.

As Tristian gazed deeper into Scarlett's eyes, he felt a sudden jolt of recognition. It was as if he had seen those eyes before, in a different time and place. The familiarity was unsettling, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that he had known Scarlett for centuries.

Suddenly, the room began to spin, and Tristian felt himself being pulled into a vortex of memories. He saw flashes of ancient civilizations, war zones, and forbidden love. The images were fragmented and unclear, but they seemed to be connected to Scarlett.

Tristian's mind reeled as he tried to make sense of the visions. He stumbled backward, his eyes fixed on Scarlett's portrait, and collapsed onto the bed. The last thing he remembered was the feeling of Scarlett's hand in his, guiding him through the darkness.

When Tristian came to, he was lying on the bed, his head throbbing with pain. Scarlett was sitting beside him, her eyes filled with concern.

"Tristian, what happened?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Tristian struggled to sit up, his mind foggy. "I saw things," he said, his voice shaking. "Memories, I think. Ancient memories."

Scarlett's expression changed from concern to curiosity. "What kind of memories?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tristian hesitated, unsure if he should reveal what he had seen. But something about Scarlett's eyes made him trust her. "I saw us," he said, his voice barely audible. "Together, in a different time. A different life."

Scarlett's eyes widened, and she took Tristian's hand in hers. "Tell me more," she said, her voice filled with an otherworldly intensity.

"Everything was blurry, I can't remember," Tristian mumbled, his words slurred by exhaustion. Scarlett sighed, a mix of distress and relief washing over her. She didn't want the dark past to resurface, didn't want her husband and children to feel the rat of those people. "It's fine, go back to sleep, it's only four in the morning," she said softly, walking into the bathroom.
