The Informat of the Sea

Chapter 3

After traveling for three days you were feeling a little tired, hungry, and quite parched. You successfully made it to Winner Island, but you didn't get the chance to ask Law to ask what time the Straw Hats were expected to land at the island. You pondered on the islands ledge near the sea before coming up with a decision. You placed a closed fist on top of your opened hand and smiled. "Well, I'll just fly around until I spot their ship. But first, I need something to eat and drink." 

You walk for awhile through the forest before you come to an open portion in the heart of the island. It's very rocky and doesn't seem like a place anyone would want to settle down in, so it seems you'll have to hunt for food. Nothing new to you, but you were hoping for a nicer island to relax at instead of this island. You sighed and shook your head, placing your hands on your hips. 'Law probably picked a different route and basically forced the Straw Hats to pick this direction so he'd get a better route. What a cheater.' 

After an hour of hunting, you build a fire in the middle of the island and start cooking up the meet you gathered. You used your powers to light the wood and get a bright fire burning. You smiled at your hard work and softly chuckle. 

Right as the meat was placed on the fire you begun to hear rustling near by in the forest behind you. You close our eyes and sigh, making a quick, sharp motion towards the tree line with your arm. This causes a wind to slice at the trees, effectively cutting them down in your winds path. 

"Woooo! Cool!" You hear a child-like laugh follow next. You blink at the direction of the sound and stand up, tilting your head to the side. Figures begin to pop up in the cleared tree line, just far away enough to you couldn't quite make out who they were.

"Stupid Luffy! You really almost got us killed!" You heard a bang and the sound of a young woman and the same child-like voice howling in pain.

"Sorry Nami. I wasn't expecting anyone to be here, and I could smell meat!" The figure continued laughing as another figure to began to walk out of the forest. You straighten up and smile wide, recognizing them immediately. 

"Robin!" She walks into the clearing with a smile on her face. Her long raven hair flows effortlessly in the wind. She opens her arms to you and gives a bigger, but still small smile.

"Red, it's been awhile! You're looking as good as ever." You jog up to her with a big smile and wrap your arms around her middle. 

"It has been! You're looking good too. Looks like any wounds have healed up already from your most recently fight which is good." You pull back from the hug and take a few steps back, placing on hand on your hip and letting the other rest by your left side. You lean over to look behind her and see a few more figures have popped up. She turns to look over at the clearing and giggles, beckoning the others over. 

"Everyone, you can come out now, she won't cause us any harm." The first figure to bounce out was none other than Luffy himself, wearing his signature grin. 

"You're strong! You should join my crew." You laugh, throwing your head back slightly and putting your hands on your hips.

"Thank you, but sorry, I'm a captain myself so I couldn't possibly leave my family behind like that." The other straw hats slowly make their way out. 

"Red! It's good to see you. Run away from your crew again?" You tilt to the left to look behind Luffy and see Jimbei. You smile widens and you rush over, opening your arms. 

"Jimbei!" You jump up and he easily catches you. He laughs and pats your head before putting you down. "I didn't run away. I just wanted to meet up with all of you guys in peace! Speaking of guys, where are the others? I want to meet them."

"I can do that!" You turn around and watch Luffy throw his hand up before walking around to his crew that slowly made their way over to you. "This is Robin as you know! That over there is Zoro, Brook, Chopper, Franky, Ussop, Nami, and Sanji! And in front of you is Jimbei, which you already know as well!" He strides over to you and holds out his hand. "My name is Luffy, I'm going to be the King of the Pirates." You smirk and shake his hand.

"My name is (Y/N), but everyone on the sea calls me Red, the Informat. If there's anything you need to know chances are I have the answers." He grins and lets your hands drop. You open your arm and gesture towards the fire you made. "You all are free to join me at my fire. I was just frying up some boars to eat." Luffy begins to drool and his eyes turn into what looks like meat. He leaps over quickly before anyone else has a chance to move.

"MEEEAAAAT!" The rest of his crew make his way to the fire. Sanji runs over to you with hearts in his eyes and his hands in the air. "Ah! You're so beautiful Red-swan!!" You giggle and give a little smirk while flipping your hair off your shoulder.

"Thank you, Sanji. Please sit down with your crew mates. You have two ladies to fawn over right there that I'm sure love the attention." You turn and let your hair flick, strutting over to your empty seat. This make Sanji swoon more but he does make his was over eventually. You see Nami just roll her eyes at his antics while Robin giggles.

When you look at the fire to see how the meat is cooking, you see Ussop holding Luffy back from eating it all. Just as Luffy goes to grab something you use your Devil Fruit powers to slap his hand away. He yelps and pulls his hand away, startling Ussop and causing him to let him go. 

"Ah Luffy! Are you ok?" Luffy looks at his hand, a red mark starting to show. He tilts his hand in confusion, looking at the fire, then his hand, then the fire, and his hand again. You laugh at his obvious confusion. 

"Sorry, I did that, not the fire. If I don't discipline you now you'll just eat all the meat as soon as it's done. Not that I think you know discipline when it comes to food anyway." Luffy turns to you and studies you. You stare at him back and smirk widely. "What? Would you like to see my Devil Fruit powers? It might be shocking though, so hold onto your hat." You flick in his direction, causing wind to pick up and blow in his direction. He quickly puts his hand on his hat and watches as you stand up, amusement in his eyes.

"My Devil Fruit isn't one that really should be around, but the World Government has... Let's say a way with Devil Fruits." You lift your hand up from the ground, having your palm to the sky, and flick your fingers up, causing the ground to raise and give you a nice seat to sit on. You flick your hand towards the forest again and let the wind slice through more trees, felling many in its path as it makes its way out to the sea. You feel the Straw Hats begin to watch you intensely. You look at the fire and flick up with your index finger, causing it to roar and burn large and bright. Nami, Ussop, and Chopper scream, jumping back from the fire. Jimbei, Zoro, and Robin just stay in tHeir seats while Sanji rushes to Nami's side to make sure she's ok. Some embers have flown out and caused little burning areas, so you breath in and take the moisture from the air to create water to put them out.

"I can do more intense moves, but this is just to show a small extension of my powers." You grin and turn to look over at Luffy. He has big stars in his eyes and he jumps over to you quickly. It startles you but he moved quicker. Before you can move away he grabs your shoulders and  brings his face close to yours and grins brightly. 

"COOOOL! I NEED YOU TO JOIN MY CREW!" You put your hand on his face and push him away to make some space. He takes a step back and huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. "You don't want to? You'd be a beat addition to my crew."

You sigh and give him a small smile. "I can't join your crew, I'm a captain, like I said, of my own crew." This causes him to pout even more. You feel yourself already giving in to his antics and form an idea. "We can form an alliance if you'd like though. It's always smart to have many connections on the sea." You stick your finger in the air and smile at him. He throws his arms over his head and laughs loudly. 

"Works for me! We're friends now then!" He turns and runs back to his spot by the fire, salivating looking at the cooked meat. "Now, let's eat! I'm starving." 

The rest of the crew relax and sit back in their spots. You walk over and distribute the food to everyone and laugh as you watch their antics once they've all settled in. It might be chaotic, but it reminds you of your own crew. You smile warmly at everyone and raise your stick of meat in the air.

"To a new alliance." The Straw Hats all look at each other, then to you with smiles.

"To a new alliance!"
