Y/N'S POV

I turn around and let the kitchen door close behind me. I walk down the stairs quickly and I hear footsteps running after me. "Y/N, wait!" I stop in the middle of the Sunny's deck and turn around. Jades standing at the stop of the stairs, her face contoured in guilt. "You have to let me explain." My hands and jaw clench. I squint my eyes and growl.

"Explain what." She walks down the stairs and stands a few feet away from me. The Straw Hats file out of the kitchen and watch from the second floor.

"Captain!" I hear the Twins yell from my boat and I throw my hand up at the same time Jade does.

"Not right now girls!" We yell out at the same time. Usually, I'd laugh at how in sync we were, but now? Now it's making me more angry. I let me arm fall to my side and pick my chin up, looking down at Jade. This is something I've never done before but all I have is rage, no compassion to listen to her talk.

"You have no trust in me. I'm your captain. What do you think that does for a crew? A vice captain who can't trust her captains judgement and actions. Do you want us to fall apart?" Sweat falls from Jades face and she clenches her jaw.

"It's not that I don't trust you. You have to let me explain." I let out a bitter chuckle.

"So you didn't just tell the Straw Hats how you don't trust me? I didn't just hear you say I take too many risks and that's why you can't trust me? I trust you. If I didn't I wouldn't leave the crew in your hands like I do." Jade clicks her tongue and balls her hands into tighter fists.

"You're not getting it because you won't listen to me, but fine. You want to play this game? Then I will. No, I don't have my full trust in you. You run off and leave for weeks at a time and come back all banged up and bruised. You barely tell us anything and then leave again soon after. How can I trust you when you keep things for me." She places her hand on her heart and her facial expression shows she's pissed. I keep a calm face but I have a dark aura around me.

"You're supposed to trust me because I'm your captain! Above that I'm your sister! Everything I do is to make sure everything goes to plan and everyone is ok! Why don't you get that?!"

"Why don't you get that we just want you to stay!" Tensions start to run high and I begin to boil over. My hair catches in fire and I bend over at the waist slightly.

"Out of everyone you're the one who's supposed to get it! Can't you see? If I'm caught that's it! I'd rather die then get caught by them again. They finally saw through my ruse and my time of hiding behind a shadow is over. I'm out of time."

"Why do you keep trying to fight alone?! We're family! Not just you and me but our crew too! You found all us them and gave them a family, people to love. People to die for. People to protect! Why do you keep running from us?!" I stand up and scream.

"Because I can't stay!" I pant and let out a long sigh. "There's so much I see out there and learn that I don't tell you guys because it's never anything good. If I stay, they'll find all of you and hurt you. They know I'd put my life on the line to save any of you and they aren't above using any and all tactics."

"We would die for you too! That's what a crew is there for. To support one another. Why can't you see that?" I turn around and look out at the sea. Trying to calm my boiling blood. I take a deep breath and turn to look back at Jade.  My flames die down and I look down at the deck of the Sunny before closing my eyes.
