*Authors Note: I feel bad for all the fighting I've put in and not giving y'all the festival a few chapters ago, so I plan on writing it for you guys! I'll end the story with you traveling with them to Eggman Island to follow the actual plot of the story, but until then I'm going to write about a festival. I hope y'all enjoy it when I get around to writing it!*
A slap to the face wakes you up. You jump, startled by the impact. Your brain fog quickly disappears as you raise your hand to remove the hand that rudely woke you up from slumber and threw it back to the person it's attached too. The impact didn't phase Luffy one bit as it lands on his chest. He continues laying star fished on the small recovery bed and snores. You sit up and stretch, regretting it instantly when it causes a twinge of pain to shoot up you body from your stomach.
You hold you stomach and hiss through the pain. You pull your shirt away from your chest and look down to search for any blood on the bandages wrapped around your stomach. You sigh in relief when it was still white and let your shirt go. You weren't sure how Chopper would react if you opened your wound, but if he was anything like Cynthia, your own crew doctor, you'd get a nice wack and a lecture. You chuckle at the memories and leak over when you hear a groan rise from Luffy.
Luffy stretches and yawns, his eyes opening. He blinks a few times and rubs his eyes, trying to adjust to the darker light in the room now that it's way past noon. He sits up and turns to you, giving you a smile. "Morning!" You return the smile and ruffle his hair. It was just too soft to ignore.
"Morning. Are you hungry?" His stomach growls loudly in answer. You laugh and let your hand fall to rest at your side. "I'll take that as a yes." He jumps off the bed and chuckles, hands holding onto his hips.
"I'm starving! Let's go get something from Sanji!" He grabs your left arm and pulls you off the bed. You wobble as you try to find footing after being yanked away from the bed. Once you get your footing Luffy drags you out of the medical room. The door opens and you squint your eyes as you finally see the sun after sleeping for so long. The breeze is cool now that the sun is starting to get ready for its slumber in a few hours. If you squinted you could see the moon just barely peeking in the sky, waiting for its turn to say hello and light up the night sky and cover the world in silver hues.
Luffy continues to speed walk through the ship, unable to ignore his stomach any longer but trying not to push you to run. You smile softly at the gesture and look around. None of the Straw Hats are on the deck, so you assume they're in the kitchen eating.
You two walk up the stairs and begin to hear chatter coming from the kitchen. A divine smell wafts out of the open window and your mouth starts to water. You haven't had a real meal since the first fight on Kasa island, which was almost a week ago by now. You lick your lips and hear your stomach growl, begging you to put real sustenance in it. Luffy throws open the door and stares at the table full of food. He drops you arm and drools. He licks his lips and runs to his spot at the head of the table. "FOOOOOOD!!!" The crew laugh and watch him pounce at the meat at the table that was just set out.
"Ah, Y/N! You're awake!" You look over at Chopper and smile.
"Thanks to you I recovered so fast. What an amazing doctor you are, Chopper" You walk over to him and he gets up, shimmying side to side. He blushes and smiles.
"Your compliment doesn't make me happy, stupid!" You chuckle and sit at your spot next to Robin. Nami and Robin smile widely at you.
"Y/N! How are you feeling?" You load up your plate with food quickly before Luffy starts to eat everything on the table.
"I'm holding up pretty ok, Nami. How are you all doing?"
"We're doing SUPEEEER!" Franky poses with his arms and laughs.
