*Authors Note: the song I'm using is Real in Rio from the Rio movie. I'm going to change a few of the lyrics to fit it to a pirate theme but the song and beat I want you to think about is that song. I see a lot of edits for OP to it and I think it just fits great.

It was loud on top of the platform. The city folk were starting to flock to it at the announcement that I would sing a song for the height of festival. I rub my hands together as I hum the lyrics I'm going to sing. The band behind me gets their instruments ready and Lynx walks over to me. He hiccups and smiles widely.

"I don't think I've ever heard you sing before, I'm pretty excited to hear your voice." I smile back and snort at him slightly swaying.

"It's been awhile since I've preformed, so I hope the song I picked works for everyone." Lynx grabs my hand and squeezes it. I smile and squeeze back. "Thanks for trying to reassure me, Lynx." I look around and see the band is finally ready and waiting for me. I drop his hand and begin walking to the center if the platform. "See you later!" He stands there a bit dazed and I laugh at his form before standing in the middle of the platform. The people begin to go quiet, but a buzz still warms the air with excitement. I look around and spot the Straw Hats front and center. Luffy jumps up and waves with both of his arms and I smile widely, giving all of them a small wave. I turn to the band and nod my head, signaling I was ready.

I stand on the straight and relaxed, putting my left leg in front of my right ,eg and turning slightly. I hold my hands up and take a deep breath in. The music starts and I begin to clap, letting the beat flow throw my veins. I smile and start to let my body move with the beat, spinning, jumping, moving swiftly and precisely. Just like the wind. I use my devil fruit powers to carry my voice through the city for everyone to hear.

"All the birds of a feather,

Do what they love most of all."

The drums beat and I move around the stage to it, letting my voice flow clearly with my body.

"We are the best rhythm and laughter,

That's why we love carnival."

The crowd goes wild. They begin clapping and dancing to the best. I look around and can't help but smile. The energy in the center of the city is intoxicating. I even notice the Straw Hats are starting to dance to the song.

"Possibly we can sing too (la-ia, la-la ia),

Sun and beaches, they coo (la-la ia, la-la ia),

Dance to the music, passion and love (la-la ia, la-la ia),

Show us the best you can do (la-la ia, la-la ia)."

The dress they gave me flows with my movements elegantly. It was easy to become wrapped up in the song and beat. Everyone was dancing, clapping, laughing, and trying to sing along.

"Everyone here is on fire (la-ia, la-ia),

Get up and join in the fun (la-la ia, la-la ia),

Dance with a stranger, romance and danger,

Magic could happen for real on the sea.

All by itself, itself, you can't see it coming,
You can't find it anywhere else, anywhere else,
It's real on the sea, know something else, something else,
You can feel it happen, you can feel it all by yourself.
All the birds of a feather (oh, oh, oh),
Do what they love most of all (oh, oh, oh),
Moon and the stars, sun and guitars (oh, oh, oh),
That's why we love Carnival."

Everyone was beginning to sing along now, slowly beginning to learn the song. I was taking a small break and was dancing around, feeling the best of the drums vibrating the platform. I was laughing and moving around while everyone was cheering me on. I spin and stop in the middle of the stage. I run my hands up my body and throw back my hair, a wide smile painted permanently on my face. I open my eyes and start singing again.
"Loving our life out on the sea (la-ia, la-ia),
Everything's wild and free (la-la ia, la-la ia).
Never alone 'cause this is our home,
Magic can happen for real on the sea,
All by itself (by itself), you can't see it coming,
You can't find it anywhere else!"
I run up to the edge of the platform and smile widely. "Come on everyone! Let's sing the main verse on last time, all together!" I jump down from the platform and the crowd parts, forming a small circle with me in the middle. Everyone starts to cheer and I hold up the arms, clapping to the beat. Everyone follows and I take in a deep breath and everyone follows, ready to let their voices ring out.
"All the birds of a feather (oh, oh, oh),
Do what they love most of all (oh, oh, oh),
Moon and the stars, sun and guitars (oh, oh, oh),
That's why we love Carnival."

I stop dancing and I lean back on the right leg. My left arm is outstretched and I pull my right hand up and along, letting it stop on my shoulder. Everyone cheers and I pant, feeling sweat drip down my body. I use my devil fruit powers to cool my body and I stand up, smiling widely. Everyone begins to form their small groups again once the band stops playing and I let out a deep breath, ready to have a drink. A body crashes into me as I start to move to find the Straw Hats and I look up expecting to see Luffy, but I make eye contact with Lynx. I smile and turn around in his arms.

"That was amazing! You're amazing!" I laugh and put my hands on my hips, looking up at him. He looks serious for a second and I tilt ,y head in concussion.

"Everyone alright?" He swallows hard and his hands come up to my face. I blink and before I can say anything he pulls me in for a kiss. My eyes go wide and I pull back once I register what was happening. Lynx blushes hard and puts his hand on his mouth.

"I'm sorry, I was just, so caught up I didn't even know what I was doing." I chuckle awkwardly and wipe my lips.

"It's... it's alright." I look behind Lynx and see the Straw Hats. Luffy was angry. Sanji and Zoro are holding him back while all the others are trying to calm him down. Lynx rubs the back of his neck and smiles down at me.

"Would you... like to spend the rest of the night together at the festival?" I start to walk forward and pat him on the shoulder, looking right at an angry Luffy.

"Sorry Lynx, I have to go." He turns and sees where I'm looking. He frowns and grabs my wrist. I stop and turn my head to look back. He begins to pout and I begin to feel annoyed. I go to open my mouth but a hand shouts out in front of me and grabs Lynx's arm holding my wrist. I look up and see Luffy with a dark look on his face. He was calm, but I could see a war raging in his eyes.

"Let her go." Lynx tsks and let's go. Luffy drops his arm and they stare at each other, having some kind of mental battle. He pulls me to his body and smirks. Lynx clenches his jaw and balls up his fists.

"Who do you think you are? You're just some pirate group she's traveling with right now."

"Lynx. Enough." He sucks in a breath at my cold tone and looks down. He opens and closes his mouth a few times but ens up walking away. I let out a sign of relief and look up at Luffy.

"I'm sorry he said that. I don't know what's come over him or why he even did any of that." I turn to the Straw Hats and bow. "I'm sorry for what he said about you guys too." Ussop flails his arms.

"Don't apologize! It's not like you said those things." Chopper runs up to me and nods.

"Yeah! So don't worry about us, Y/N." I stand up and pat Chopper on the head. I look up at the others and they all nod and smile, agreeing with the two of them. I smi,e back.

"Thanks guys. I'm sure he won't remember it in the morning anyway."

"If he does, I'll make sure he lays a hefty sum to apologize." Nami snickers, her eyes turning into berries. I chuckle and look back to Luffy. He has his arms crossed and a dark look still, but he seems calmer. He looks over at me and catches my gaze. I smile and put my hand on his arm. He grabs my hips and throws me over his shoulder. I yelp in surprise and look towards the Straw Hats for help, turning pale when I see their reactions. Ussop holds his hands up in prayer, Nami and Robin giggle and cover their mouths, while the others all smile and laugh. Luffy throws his left arm out and holds me up with him right arm and flings us up and away from the party. I scream out in surprise and hold on tightly to his shirt.

We land on the outskirts of the festival. He lets me down from his shoulder and I sign in relief, relishing in the feeling of the roof below my feet. He turns to the city and sits, crossing his legs. I frown and walk over, sitting down next to him and crossing my legs over each other to match. We watch the city bustling for awhile in silence before he speaks up.

"Can we talk?"
